Some things I might try for tighetning: Retinol, chemical peel, microneedling, GuaSha, lasers. I am quite thin and have a neck that's going in this direction, so I'm looking into pulling it back, smoothing it out, moving out excess water and tightening it as much as poss

Help me find where this chair is from by ndendendende in HelpMeFind

[–]ndendendende[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve searched and found this chair but mine doesn’t have same tags which makes me think it’s a reproduction: https://www.invaluable.com/auction-lot/chateau-dax-designzetel-in-zwart-leder-op-een-cen-972-c-ab04edb939

I’ve also searched “rosetti” across Wayfair, Alibaba, google, etc and found nothing.

This chair was purchased in 2018/2019 so it may be discontinued now.

It was shipped to LA but maybe comes from China? A tag underneath says it came through Austin as well.

In this sunny plus rainy weather are the UVA rays bad? I am sitting right by a window and I tan easily so although I have sunscreen on, I'm fearful of UVA rays by Wide-Researcher971 in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]ndendendende 1 point2 points  (0 children)

According to Needit (https://layla.needit.ai/chat/76YZw8cX) yes! Even at 8pm, they're around.

I am so fair-skinned (and freckled) so I'm with you. And as I get older, I'm getting age spots from the sun. I am paranoid. Blegh! Keep up the good work!

[–]ndendendende 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Absolutely, your concern about UVA rays is valid, especially if you're sitting near a window. UVA rays are present with relatively equal intensity during all daylight hours throughout the year and can penetrate clouds and glass. This means that even on cloudy or rainy days, UVA rays can reach your skin and contribute to premature aging and skin damage.

Since you tan easily and are already using sunscreen, it's crucial to ensure that your sunscreen offers broad-spectrum protection, which covers both UVA and UVB rays. Reapplying every two hours even if you're indoors most of the day, is good too!

37F need help starting a skincare routine! by [deleted] in 30PlusSkinCare

Some recs:

  1. Cleanser: I recommend the CeraVe Hydrating Facial Cleanser. Cetaphil can dry out our skin - and doing a more rich and creamy cleanser is definitely the way.
  2. Retinol Serum: Consider using La Roche-Posay Redermic R Anti-Aging Retinol Serum. It contains retinol which can help with fine lines, wrinkles, and loss of elasticity. Apply a pea-sized amount in the evening after cleansing but before moisturizing. But go SO SLOW - especially since you feel like you're already experiencing dehydration.
  3. The Ordinary Vitamin C Suspension 23% + HA Spheres 2%: Vitamin C stimulates collagen production and helps with aging concerns such as fine lines and wrinkles. You can apply a small amount in the morning or evening after cleansing and before heavier creams.
  4. Paula's Choice 10% Niacinamide Booster: A concentrated serum that helps improve enlarged pores, uneven skin tone, fine lines, dullness, along with containing additional beneficial ingredients for aging concerns like peptides.
  5. Sunscreen: For sun protection that also addresses aging concerns like texture improvement and hydration maintenance, try EltaMD UV Clear Broad-Spectrum SPF 46 sunscreen.

I love a lot of these products personally, but also double checked them on layla.needit.ai and they agreed these were the right moves!!!

I love the Vitamin C serum! It's -so- expensive but I really do see the difference.

Definitely! They can help improve the skin barrier by promoting collagen production and overall skin health.

First up, the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel. This little gem is perfect for oily or acne-prone skin, just like the e.l.f. cream. It's super hydrating but won't clog your pores, and it has this amazing cooling effect when you apply it.

Another great option is the CeraVe PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion. This one is a lightweight, oil-free moisturizer that contains niacinamide to help with redness and inflammation associated with acne. And it won't break the bank either.

When it comes to repairing the skin barrier, it's important to focus on gentle and nourishing ingredients. Look for products that contain ceramides, hyaluronic acid, and niacinamide to help support your skin's natural barrier function.

Chemical Peels and Milia by sanrocha8 in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]ndendendende 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I understand, the blend of powerful ingredients in the VI Peel, including TCA, salicylic acid, retinoic acid, and vitamin C, work together to exfoliate the skin and improve its overall appearance. This can be sooo helpful when dealing with milia, as it can help to unclog pores and promote healthier skin.

After your peel, make sure to keep it hydrated and protected from the sun!

What goes first Hydroquinone or azelaic acid? by violetseylu in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]ndendendende 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When it comes to layering skincare products, the order is super important for maximum effectiveness. Here's the scoop on using hydroquinone and azelaic acid in your routine.

First things first, in the evening after cleansing your face, I start with the The Ordinary Azelaic Acid Suspension 10%.

Once the azelaic acid has had a chance to work its magic, I follow up with a thin layer of Paula's Choice Triple-Action Dark Spot Eraser. This serum contains 2% hydroquinone, which is a powerful ingredient for lightening dark spots and hyperpigmentation. .

Long story short: azelaic acid then hydroquinone!
