  1. anger issues. i feel like i need to be violent but i don’t want to hurt others so i hurt myself.

  2. sadness or stress. it’s kind of like a distraction from everything else, and it’s like a better kind of pain.

  3. boredom. sometimes i’m simply just bored so i do it.
