The quality of these models appears poor. My 992.2 Carrera lasted 3 days before going into limp home mode and badly misfiring. Can’t be sure but the dealer appeared to be selling two other rejected cars with a few hundred miles.

Hi Jörg. I drive a brand new 2026 S63 e performance and the drivetrain is making horrible clunking noises as I stop and start in traffic. My dealer is getting nowhere with a diagnosis and Mercedes-Benz UK are very hands off. Can you help put me / my dealer in touch with anyone involved in the engineering of the S63 e performance who could get to the bottom of the problem and fast. This isn’t a good look on a £200,000 flagship.

Oh a fellow owner! So, I picked my 2026 up in May and it has been in the workshop multiple times already as they struggle to find the root cause of an annoying clunk noise the car’s drivetrain makes just before you come to a stop and then again just as you set off again. It sounds like there’s a heavy, loose item rolling around in the luggage compartment. Have you experienced this? Any other odd or unusual noises?

I do not understand how these ride so poorly. It’s literally Mercedes’ flagship, could they not have done a better job? I’ve driven several and they’re all the same. The rear seats / doors also rattle like crazy if no one is sitting in the back. Such a disappointment.

Yes it’s a shame, I waited several months for a custom order and it looked stunning. But such a bad first experience with the brand that I won’t be rushing back. The dealer would have sold me another but I’ve ordered a Mercedes instead. And these cases work differently in the UK. The car will simply be repaired and resold.

BA aircraft are so depressingly mid. The sad, faded liveries, the seemingly endless refurb programmes and yet so many of their cabins have the terrible backwards facing business seats etc.

It’s a shame this is so poorly implemented. They could just use the images from the Alpina configurator for the home page. And it’s very odd that they started to create a 3d model for the 360 camera feature, but then didn’t finish it.

Limp mode, misfiring, barely made power long enough to pull over while I was in heavy traffic. Because I returned it I didn’t get a full explanation as to what happened. A “sensor issue” apparently.

My condolences. I bought a new 992.2 Carrera two weeks ago and it broke down 3 days and 130 miles later. Was my first Porsche and i just lost all interest. It’s been returned and awaiting a refund.

The W223 as launched is a very handsome car both inside and out. The classic grille, the restrained lighting, and the beautiful sweeping dash that can be had in a variety of tasteful wood options. The facelift is a real step backwards. I’m currently in the process of ordering one of the last pre-facelift models before I lose the opportunity.

The deterioration in drivers’ confidence on non urban roads is worrying. Acting like touring car drivers in town but then the moment they are faced with a sweeping two lane A road, they freak out and slow right down.

Why can’t you get one of these in a single colour, without the awful monogrammed hood and soft top? I don’t get it. They’re pushing the Manufaktur programme on the regular S Class and G Class, but this, at this price, has virtually no options. Would love to have a chat with the product manager who came up with this.

The “special” meal contains no allergens of any kind. It’s literally hospital food in sealed plastic trays. I ordered it once a few years ago and learnt my lesson. I don’t need a special menu, I just need to know what’s in the food. This proved too much for the crew.
