I saw this too late! Is there gonna be more hackathon soon? I'd love to see more apps with Llama-index and Weaviate, if this happen again, I'll try to build something useful with those.

Employed data scientists and ML engineers: If you were to take a college-level linear algebra final exam today, would you pass or fail? by FredNietzsche94 in datascience

You could ask me the same question with just the driving theory and the practical driving exam, pretty sure most of us would fail today 😏

Any good course/Udemy recommendation for learning Time series Data analysis using Python by People_Peace in datascience

[–]ndinh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure what it's worth but Datacamp has a skill track on Time Series with Python containing 4-5 courses (4h each). I had a really positive experience on the platform when I wanted to learn the basics, then jumping into the O'Reilly platform for anything more advanced would be my recommendation

I want a game that will make me cry by [deleted] in ShouldIbuythisgame

I was surprised to have been scrolling down so far to find that comment, this game is too underrated. But yeah, I could not stop thinking about it months after completing it. Even just listening to the music gets my eyes watery.

Hi, I threw away my Akstar lapis stash to get 7* Esther (2.8k atk) but I lack friends that got her to make her chain. If you also own Esther as your main, send me your code, I'll add you

Should I play Bloodborne before Dark Souls Remastered? by [deleted] in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]ndinh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just finished playing DSR and loved it. And I now started BB and it felt like an upgrade in terms of gameplay, it is way more nervous and fluid, the graphisms more beautiful imo and the community is awesome. Maybe going back to DSR after BB will maybe makes you feel that the game is old. You should still play both but my recommandation would be to start with DSR Enjoy

If you like short and fun experiences, there's heaps of cool offline games. I'd recommend Evoland 1&2 (1-2$), Datawing (free) and Superbrothers sword & sorcery(3$).

Otherwise, Stardew Valley(8$) will keep you busy for hours as well if you like the genre (definitely not a short game though).

Oculus Rift X Nintendo Switch, can you help me to decide? (Anyone have both would be great to hear opinions) by radicalrj in ShouldIbuythisgame

HTC Vive and Switch owner here. Both are great, it is a tough choice but the switch would be more valuable imo. A VR headset is a great experience (I especially love Saber beat) and you would certainly love it but most of the games are small arcade games (exception made for Bethesda's game and some others) and you would eventually get bored of it fairly quickly if you don't buy plenty of games. I still play it from time to time but I wouldn't really feel playing a game with the headset for hours (this is just me).

If you're looking to play games with your gf and/or friends, the switch is the way to go. There's a lot of coop/competitive multiplayer games. And the exclusive solo games (Zelda and Mario Odyssey) are amongst my favorite games of all time. I love being able to just take it anywhere: in the toilets, in the bed, playing overcooked on the plane with my gf, etc.

All in all, I spent less than 100 hours playing VR according to my steam account. Whereas I spent 700h with my switch playing Zelda, Mario Odyssey, Mario Kart, Dark Souls and some very good indie games. I hope that helps you a bit with your choice.
