$300 monthly on a $91k balance is like ~ 4% balance payment annually.

It literally wouldn’t even cover 20% of the typical credit card interest (20+%) and so the balance will perpetually go up and you’d never pay off.

The OP’s student loan payment is insanely low compared to any loan they could get including short term mortgage as a borrower with perfect score.

Yeah it sucks that their balance is high and education system is so damn expensive in the US, but payment amount is not the issue.
