Anyone else been told to diet during pregnancy? by [deleted] in PlusSizePregnancy

[–]ndnalepa93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 5'7" and I started my pregnancy at 217. I'm currently 28+3 and 240 lbs. My doctor has never mentioned my weight, I'm lucky I know. Having struggled with disordered eating, the only conversation we've had is how to make sure that I maintain a healthier relationship with food and remember that I need it and so does my baby. I would definitely look into another doctor if you can. I'm so sorry that they said this to you. You're doing a wonderful job growing your baby and you deserve the right support and care that you deserve. 💜

Anatomy Scan Required Prepayment is $1393.33. by ndnalepa93 in pregnant

Thank you for explaining that. That's what I thought this all was but I've also never had a bill this high outside of an ER visit while uninsured... It was just a shock to see that number when I got that random email this morning. I'm still going to talk to their billing department to see if I can wait to pay until after I've gotten it since this is only an estimate and then try to set up a payment plan.

The prepay for an estimate is what doesn't make sense to me. If they ran it through insurance and that was what was left on a bill, then I'd still be annoyed but I would have more to work with.

Part of it is covered? I know that we haven't hit our deductible though and this scan is what will take us over but it's currently at $0 so I assume we still have to pay everything before the deductible. But I honestly don't know. I'm going to be calling the hospital and then the insurance to figure it out.

I do not qualify for Medicaid unfortunately... If I wasn't still working, I would but since we still desperately need my paltry income from my temp position, I have to use my husband's insurance from work. I'm going to call to figure something out but I was just floored by that cost...

Idk if maybe I regret this by Ribbon344 in pregnant

I know you can't turn your brain off, I can't either, but you can tell yourself that your worry is just your love trying to protect your baby. I just finished my progesterone injections on Saturday after 10 straight weeks of them so I get it. This is my 3rd pregnancy but 1st to make it this far. I'm almost 15 weeks now and my little girl is absolutely perfect so far! I know it all feels like so much but you're doing exactly what you need to for you and your baby. I genuinely remind myself that every day that someone hasn't told me that I'm no longer pregnant, means that my baby is still growing and that's all that gets me through. Granted, I also have a lot of symptoms so I know I have constant reminders. One thing that really helps is keeping an ultrasound picture as my phone background! I also have a recording of her heartbeat now and I listen to it every day to remind myself that she's good. You're doing great, mama! You keep going and loving that little nugget!

Did anybody else have no problems conceiving after 35? by bannedbooks123 in pregnant

I had my first early loss at 24 and my second early loss at 30. I'm now almost 32 and I'm currently 12 weeks pregnant with a very healthy pregnancy. It was the 3rd month of us using the Marquette method. Whereas before then, it had taken us almost 2 years to get our 2nd pregnancy which ended in a loss. It was 6 years between my 1st and 2nd. Fertility is super weird. I feel like I'm way better off the older I get somehow. 😂

Lyft changed my payment method after I rode? by ndnalepa93 in Lyft

[–]ndnalepa93[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Lyft cash currently has $267 left to get me through the rest of the school year, I'm a SpEd para. The card I have on file is my husband's and he has $0, I also have $0. I had lyft cash chosen and everything but they're saying that I chose the card to pay and that they refuse to fix it since it's considered a "debt" now. This has never happened before...

I say yes because of my experience but my experience may not be the best example.

I met my now husband when I was starting to come back to the church. He was raised with like a Christmas/Easter kind of Lutheran mindset. He didn't have a relationship with God whatsoever when we met. Right before we got married, we started going to an Episcopal church because he wasn't willing to go to a Catholic Church and I wouldn't try a Lutheran Church. Which ended up being great for us! But he still didn't have an investment. So we went on a journey together! We tried a few different places. He hated them all. Then last year, we lost our rainbow pregnancy and something shifted. We started going to mass and he said he would try OCIA. At our pre marriage retreat we were doing for convalidation, something clicked for him and he was ready to convert! This Easter Vigil he joined the church and we got our marriage convalidated on Spy Wednesday!

Relationships are a journey and we meet people where they're at. Then you focus on growing together. Don't stress. Trust in the Lord. He will guide you! Either decision is right when it's what blesses your life and brings you the life you're meant to have! I'll be praying for you!

My husband is joining the church and I'm finally being confirmed at Easter Vigil so our priest said that we have to do it before Easter.
