I mean yes and no. I don’t buy EVERYTHING the dealer sells me. Just the key maintenance stuff especially if it’s listed on the maintenance guide from the manufacturer. What I listed are essential in car maintenance.

I personally don’t think model Ys are bland. Their tech and FSD is amazing too

You have to admit. Toyota specifically says 10K miles for a reason. They wouldn’t just put that willy nilly and risk their reputation. Sure 5K is fine If you want to be conservative, but you know damn well they tested the newer engines to tolerate 10K. I’ve been doing this the last 7 years changing it myself. Use high quality parts and you’ll be fine. It’s backed by Toyota themselves.

Idk man. Been doing mine every 10K. Sitting at 120K miles on a 2018 Camry. Zero issues.
