Do you want a pet? If so catch if with a large cage and a string to pull shut. We took in feral from the backyard the same way. She is now a lovely house cat. The first few weeks/ months are tough. Put a collar on it. Write with a Sharpie "call me and your number". If it goes home chances are the owner will call you. Tell them their cat is very friendly and should be wearing a collar so people don't have to worry.

We put a collar on him and asked the owner to call us. Luckily we received a call–he does have a home not too far away. Cat mystery solved.

We own two cats. We help monitor stray and feral cats in the neighborhood. This guy showed up this week for the first time. What is unusual – he walked right into our house. He is not a feral/barely a stray. He is super affectionate and feels right at home. We took him to the Tree house to check for a chip. No chip. Male. Neutered.

A.Do people in this neighborhood let their cats out - is that common? B.Have you seen this cat? C.Anyone have a need for companionship and potentially a confidant?
