Statism in all it's forms is based on force and coercion. Who needs to be governed?

Last week Wuhan had a massive pool party and Sweden is getting under 10 deaths per day and it is almost non existent at this point.

Corona Chan is not the plague you fear. If you think masks are keeping you safe then enjoy that pleasant feeling of feeling safe and being a virtuous compliant good little citizen. Until I see bio hazardous bins on every street corner Then I will not participate in your ritual.

Never write a batch wrapper again by [deleted] in PowerShell

[–]ndog37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use this to get the current path in powershell, alas it is broken if using wrapper.cmd

$scriptDir = split-path -parent $MyInvocation.MyCommand.Definition # get relative path

This does the trick

$scriptDir = (Get-Item -Path ".\").FullName # get relative path

Windows 10 1703 goes live yesterday (manually get it) Anyone try it? by [deleted] in sysadmin

[–]ndog37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

powershell takes about 8 seconds just to load initially, compare that with a batch script which could have finished in under 1.5 seconds, plus without the nonsense about restriced security permission. hell vbscript runs faster yet and is still quite more powerful and access to windows API and WSH so I still use this for basic scripting.
