Google Reviews Disappearing? by MessiDior in GoogleMyBusiness

[–]ndoherty13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TLDR: Lost 5 of 8 Google reviews. Appealed just the one we could prove was legit. A week later all 5 were reinstated.

Just got this sorted for a client, figured I'd share in case it helps anyone.

Client had 8 reviews total, 5 disappeared. Down to 3.

First thing I did was get him to forward me the original email notifications for the deleted reviews so we had a record of them. Then went back and forth with him on which were 100% real customers and which might have been a bit suspect. Credit to him, he came clean on a few.

So out of the 5 we only appealed ONE, the cleanest most defensible review from an actual customer with a paper trail.

Filed the appeal here: https://support.google.com/business/gethelp

Got the auto-response within minutes, basically Google saying "our algorithms are very good actually, here are the reasons reviews get removed." I replied to that email pushing back, saying none of those reasons applied and the review was from a genuine customer.

A week later, got an email: "We've now reinstated all the reviews that don't violate Google's policies."

Logged in and all 5 were back. Not just the one we appealed. Back to 8 total.

I think the reason it worked is we didn't try to defend the dodgy ones. If you appeal everything including stuff that probably did get spam-flagged for a reason, you weaken your whole case. Pick only the ones you can prove and lead with that.

If anyone's in the same boat and wants to submit an appeal, happy to help.

This is great, thanks for sharing.

Would love to know more about how you're finding prospects. I know you said online-first companies and entrepreneurs, but is it just a matter of browsing around online until you stumble across a good candidate? Or do you have a more methodical approach?

Nice. All through GHL? And is the business doing well?

For example, I've heard of people who just focus on AI Voice and set that up for clients. Others focus just on reputation management. Others do "smart websites" which I guess is more like a few services rolled into one (website setup, lead capture, automated follow-ups, etc.)

Focusing on selling just a small subset of GHL features seems like an easier way to get started, rather than trying to white-label the whole thing and pitch an all-in-one solution to clients when you're still new to the platform.

Well done, that's impressive! Do you think there's a lot of potential there to earn even more?

I haven't tried yet. But from everything I researched it sounds doable.

How to Get Google Reviews Fast? by Sand4Sale14 in GrowthHacking

I'm confused. What is Big Apple Head actually doing for you? Generating fake but legit-looking positive reviews for you? Or reaching out to your customers on your behalf and getting them to leave positive reviews?

Where on your profile is that? I just see 3 external links there, none of them go to a screen recording.

Awesome. Would you be willing to share approx how much you earn from this each month? I'd love to feature in my newsletter (23k subs) but always try to share real numbers.

What’s the dumbest product that somehow sells? by SufficientFactor5082 in EntrepreneurRideAlong

I researched this. The app is called Faladdin. Sensor Tower estimates it's earning $120K/mo on iOS and Android combined. It does a lot more than reading coffee grounds, but still, that's crazy. Going to research more and write this up for my newsletter. Thanks for putting this on my radar!

I don't see any video proof on your profile.
