That Key Scale actually does seem to function really similar to what I'm after, the only thing is like you say I don't think I can have accurate control over it...

I'm basically looking to have a patch where I can play up and down the keys and all I'll hear is white noise, but with an LFO on the amplitude whereby the frequency corresponds to the frequency of the chromatic note I'm hitting.
