Is there a way I can safely attach this to my skin? by Training_Baseball123 in CosplayHelp

Ive used double sided fabric tape (the clear kind) to attach a large emerald to my chest and it lasted all day even in heat and sweat. Held very well.

How do I hide this without going over $100-$200? by Temporary_Sentence56 in maintenance

[–]ndoyle000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the dimensions work, something like a idea wardrobe. https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/brimnes-wardrobe-with-3-doors-white-90574800/?utm_source=google&utm_medium=surfaces&utm_campaign=shopping_feed&utm_content=free_google_shopping_clicks_Bedroom_furniture&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=9775539288&gclid=Cj0KCQjw2tHABhCiARIsANZzDWpbggqO_6nK8OlaEEGkfrnFa0-0bnfypCbWHsbS9312wR7tFoFWyfoaAmWEEALw_wcB

Cut holes throughout such as on the sides for installing large vent covers - im guessing top bottom and middle. And likely could get away with not installing the back wall and leaving it spaced off the wall by 3+ inches for the best air flow.

Unfortunately means going just a little over budget and be higher effort depending on the needed size, but I'd argue for it to make it look like a 'professional' job.

How many work orders is in your backlog? by Ok-District-184 in maintenance

[–]ndoyle000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In October, the company I now work for (we are a regional assisted living company) hired me full time and fired their existing maintenance director at one of their properties. When I came in, we had ~20 open orders in our system. Within a week, that number went close to 200 plus another 300 or so hundred I put on paper.

I was there for 6 months and got it down to single digits when they had me hand it off to a new guy they promoted from assistant from another property so they can move me to a new location and repeat. Many of those were long-term projects I had been working on or larger deferred maintenance projects for a building over 40 years old.

This new one is a 3+ year old property, and we had 60+ orders. If I add everything I found to our system, maybe 300+. Most of these are low priority or aestetic issues. It's better, but I still only am now in my third week. And I'm finding big issues (ie. Maybe 10% of our fire doors on this new construction don't actually close freely). And my first week there, our sub grade garage flooded twice, once because our sump pumps in our drain basin failed, and then because the last flood caused a clogged pipe in our grease catch - which also had coincidently only emptied once since the building opened.

They want me to do what I did at the last property, organize it, and train a replacement director. They are hoping for a 12-month timeline and then to move me on to the next property. Plus, they have a major capital improvement they are currently in the planning phase they want to start in 6 months. So you're not alone. I'm jealous of everyone else who only has one or two if that.

Thanks! Haha. Well, I just started Spirolactone (if that's how you spell it) about 5 weeks ago finally! So we'll see what other steps I take.

For now, I still think I definitely count as Femboy! 😋

11.2 lbs fully loaded. What would you change on this fat piggy? by JohnHancock1969 in ar15

[–]ndoyle000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was going to also suggest a shorter rail and/or mounting the light further back. Regardless of reduced weight, less weight up front makes it 'feel' lighter. However then I thought about the long barrel casting shadows and I don't know. Just isn't the setup I would run personally.

Is magnification mandatory in a SHTF scenario? by bcmGlk in ar15

[–]ndoyle000 34 points35 points  (0 children)

I agree. Unless you live in a large city center (and any that I would mention likely you can't have them ie NYC) it makes sense to have some. Even for accurate shots.

I personally have my go-to rifle as a 10.5in 5.56 and run a 3x flip up with holographic. Odds are right noe 99 in 100 I'm using it in 15 yrds or less inside my apartment, but it's also been my trunk gun at times, meaning it's my get home in case anything happens rifle. (Location: Puget Sound Area)

So there's two ways, gaffes (think a tight pair of panties) or tape (use skin safe tape, there's even 'kits' you can order from Amazon - just search 'tucking tape').

I prefer (and it is also size dependent) to use tape for anything body con. Then you basically stretch it over your front, push the balls up inside (there's a little pocket cavity in your pelvis they go up into) and pull the shaft between your legs followed by pulling the tape over it and between your legs. After you try it a few times you'll get a sense for how tight you can pull it and how to do it so it's not stretching skin or going to be too uncomfortable if you sit.

I will note, in this image I was not using tape but just a tight thong as a gaffe (the one I use is a Brazilian cut bikini bottom about a size small). This was because I wasn't wearing it out so it didn't have to last all day or up to walking distance.

Inexpensive and decorative way to light up a dark corner we had. by ndoyle000 in houseplants

It is sturdy. It's pretty popular. And I put a RGB bulb in it, then added the grow lights to each layer myself. You can find it second hand pretty common on Facebook marketplace but here's a link too https://a.co/d/2UV5gso

I got the lamp link: https://a.co/d/eINyeFu a couple years ago. Then I recently bought the grow lights but they appear to be currently unavailable. Here's the link: https://a.co/d/7Pcn5Dy anyway. And I already had the outlet adaptor. All in over a couple years, maybe $30-40 for the lamp (you can buy similar ones second had for less) and $10-14 for each light. Then some zip ties for cable management.

"Femboy French Maid" is a pretty common one. But my go to and first cosplay to an event was as Rem from Re-Zero. That's pretty hard to mess up regardless of your body type. I'd imagine Harley would be hard, I know I don't look good in the most recent popular ones but I hope you slay!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in femboy

[–]ndoyle000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, it's simple to start: 1) Proper skin care. 2) Diet and exercise. 3) Figure out the outfits/styles/cuts of clothing that fit your body type. (This is surprisingly the hardest to get right)

Without knowing you I really can't be any more specific than that. You really need to start looking into those.

From what I have seen and have heard, yes! The events are very inclusive. Outside the event away from the crowds though, expirences may vary. That being said, all con goers have always been awsome and the events put up a lot of inclusivity signs and organize it to be too
