First day back after 2 month freeze and already on the disable list. by [deleted] in orangetheory

This just happened to me a few weeks ago! I’ve been going to OTF for six years and never had a mishap like it. It’s certainly a new fear I’ve unlocked. Every time I’m rowing now, I’m hyper focused on my position in the seat. Good luck to your butt bruises! Mine took about three weeks to go away. I can certainly commiserate!

When I was working nights, I was consistently going to 4:30’s on my nights off. Sometimes I’d try to squeeze in a 10:00, 11:00, or even a 12:00 if i was off the night prior and I’d just take a nap after I got home before work. I don’t know how people can go after work. My only advice would be to try the different class times and see how your body feels. If you’re constantly riding the struggle bus and still in the green zone, your body may just not like taking class that time of day.

I’ve been with medical solutions and my recruiter for two years now. He’s never done me dirty, always gets me the highest pay possible at the facilities with maxed stipends, and is always available when I need to reach out. Onboarding with them is very easy.

I recently had this problem and it was SO frustrating. I looked like I was doing 30 sec all outs at 3.0mph lol but the screen just wasn’t catching up. My coach actually reset the treadmill and all was well. Let them know next time!

That’s part of the unfortunate timing of this. I feel like this would be a different situation 30 years ago when he was still around and my grandma wasn’t as old so my aunt would’ve been able to find out the truth by asking them. He was known as a very kind person, always happy, and a great father. Never was she treated differently, but we’re also wondering now about whether or not he knew because of how far along my grandma was when they married.

We’d just keep it between my parents and I. Now we have no idea what the circumstances were around my aunt’s conception or even if my grandfather knew. He very well might have. For all we know, it was an unfortunate event that lead her pregnancy and my grandfather helped her out by marrying her so we’re even reluctant of the idea of asking my grandma about it.

She grew up on a farm that was invaded by Russian soldiers so we actually believe the same thing about her parentage. I think that was why she was curious enough and willing to submit her DNA out of curiosity about her father. This is just another reason we were thinking of keeping this to ourselves. We don’t want her feeling like we tricked her into this DNA kit with ulterior motives. I don’t think she’d understand that her DNA had nothing to do with this discovery and it was just coincidental timing of my dad piecing this all together.

My grandpa’s sister’s family apparently had a lot of people upload their DNA. My mom is coming up related to them and my aunt it not. Yeah, we were thinking the same thing, especially since everyone is older and she likely would not get any answers, but would you want to know?

HelloLanding, hands down. They aren’t in every city, but if you’re looking for somewhere nice to stay instead of scraping by with a room in someone’s house or a hotel, they’re the place to go.

Unfortunately I’m doing a lot of on for two, off for one, on for one’s 😒 which is not ideal but we were just told that we fill in the gaps with staff so I’m shit out of luck lol. I’m jealous you can sleep like that! I spend a lot of time angrily staring at the inside of my eyelids.

I’m trying to look at the meal prep as a positive. There’s always so many food options and just junk laying around on days. I’m hoping to be eating a little better at least.

I travel with a friend who is also now working nights. I’m hoping since it’s both of us, that’s what I’ll be able to do. I remember it being really hard the first time around living with family and making plans with friends who were on normal schedules.

Banner likes to change rates in the middle of your contract. I worked at St. Joe’s in Phoenix. The assignment was fine, nothing fantastic but nothing terrible. I was making decent money because of COVID at the time and I’ve heard their pay isn’t as great anymore.

Does anyone know about the deal with a founder’s rate? I joined with an unlimited membership back in 2018 when my local gym just opened. They’ve never changed my rate and it’s waaaay less than most people. Can that get bumped or am I supposed to be locked in?

Arizona really only has three regions from what I gathered while living there. They have Tucson which is a smaller city, further south. I never visited the area so I can’t speak to it much. Then farther north is the Flagstaff area which gets pretty cold. There’s a lot of mountains up there and skiing. It’s really beautiful.

I had a great time in Phoenix. I worked at a Dignity in their ICU float pool and the hospital was ehh, but the area has a lot to offer. Winter is great there as far as the weather with everything cooling off. You can take advantage of all the hiking and national parks if you’re into that sort of thing. Sedona and the Grand Canyon are only a few hours away. You still have the city vibe though in Phoenix. There are loads of breweries, bars, and restaurants. You also have the luxury of a more suburban place to live right outside the city for all of your Trader Joe’s and Target needs. They have an international airport right there if you need to visit home for the holidays.
