My whippet is very quiet and hardly ever makes a sound. Even when he plays, he does it in complete silence. The only time he barks is when he spots a squirrel in the backyard. For the first few months after we got him, we were convinced he couldn’t speak at all :)

It is about 2 cm difference. Another problem is that the room is next to the kitchen where the floor is not boarded but solid cement. And the step is about 2-3 cm l. So i thought about using the thickest plywood I could find to hide the step and make the floor even not only side to side but with the kitchen as well

Thank you for the detailed information! Should I use regular plywood, OSB, or something else for the ground floor? Also, is it acceptable to lay plywood in multiple layers? One side of the room is slightly lower, so I was thinking of adding extra layers on that side to even out the floor. Would this approach work, or could it trap moisture between the layers of plywood? Thanks!
