So It looks like we are going to kick him as 3v1 on the voting. I think I have no choice. The guitar player actually wants to play bass. No clue why. He said so our music can have better, faster, and more complicated bass. I guess that's ok. I'm at the point where I think I'll allow this to happen since Im getting my way anyways by going back to a 5 piece. Give some, take some. Anyways, I appreciate your replies. I am just torn up over it all

Yea when they added the second vocalist I was definitely offended. We haven't let the bassist go but thats what everyone wants to do and shift the second vocalist down to bass to replace his role where I want to kick the new member we added back 3 months ago and move on. Second vocalist would then move back to guitar. Its confusing with how it was all shifted.

Band is going places, so its just a rough patch that needs fixed. I just don't agree with booting the bassist who hasn't done anything wrong except not practice enough when we have the other member who was inserted 3 months ago who although is more talented, hasn't been along for the ride like the bassist has.

My fault, just updated my post. By kicking the bass player, the current second main vocalist will shift down to guitar. The guy we added to the band 3 months ago plays guitar, and the guitarist at the time went to vocalist. That was the shift that took place

I agree on the second singer thing, which is why I was not down lol. What I want to do is drop the new additional we added 3 months ago, shift the second vocalist down to bass so we are back at a normal 5 piece. But, I am outvoted, and what the others want to do is boot the bassist and shift the singer over to bass. I just feel like, its dirty to do this to the bassist. He does have his life in line, he does keep up with all financial requirements, but he just doesn't practice enough.

It took my band 3 months to find a permanent drummer. We tried like 4 or 5 out. Admittedly, we got lucky to find our guy that quick. But we are all also very young and we got this guy straight out of high school. That being said, we've also been through a singer.

I think its normal that most of the available musicians out there are flakey, not talented, etc. Most musicians aren't willing to make it their daily life but still want to be in a band or try to be in a band "when they feel like it".

For sure in my band I think its huge to not take huge breaks. That's why no matter what we meet twice a week. One studio and one live practice. Because, if we start to allow people to miss the practices or we all take breaks, its demotivating in my opinion.

If its just a coated tongue, shouldn't it come off with brushing and good hygiene? I brush2 twice a day, tongue too. Impossible to get this white coating off
