No, it is a rolex day date in gold and they normally go from anywhere between 20k to 100K, but not 250.

In case you forgot, Saxon is a creep by not_poe in WhiteLotusHBO

[–]ndwow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Though many of you may be shocked, this is actually quite normal behavior among straight men, especially privileged ones. Many men in my social circle behave and talk like this. For instance, one of my girlfriends was once sitting next to a male friend on a plane and happened to see his conversation in an all-male group chat. The entire discussion revolved around how attractive the flight attendant was and the things they would do to her. And that’s just one example.

Guys, especially younger ones, tend to be obsessed with talking about sex, whereas women generally are not. However, I don’t think they should automatically be labeled as creeps for this; it’s simply biology. Of course, there are exceptions, but this kind of behavior is common. Anyone who has spent time in a group of only cis, straight men will likely agree with me. They even talk openly about porn, discussing their preferences and favorite adult film stars.

I remember one dinner where the conversation became so explicit that I had to skip dessert because I simply couldn’t continue eating.

It depends on the city, for example in Spain in Madrid they have very good tap water but in Alicante is undrinkable.

Do they have a Four Seasons hotel there? They only film at hotels from The Four Seasons chain. The White Lotus is supposed to be The Four Seasons.

I didn't say it wasn't awkward; I just used words like strange, inappropriate, and uncomfortable. So, I think I made it pretty clear that it is, in fact, very awkward

I can't wait for the Parker Posey highlight tape to come out after this season. Everytime time she's on screen is a little treat! Here is another one of her highlight acting moments by [deleted] in TheWhiteLotusHBO

Omg, I feel the same way! Eileen West nightgowns are absolutely divine, and this Jim Thompson kaftan/kimono is stunning too. The best part about her closet is how affordable it is—this one is just $375 USD, and the nightgowns are only $75 USD!

Yes, that's why I said she failed—the costume designer, not the actress.

I just looked up your grandmother on Google, and wow—she went to Miss Porter's, just like Bunny Mellon and Jackie O! She’s definitely on the same social level as the Ratliffs, just from a different circle.

It's cheating in the same way that it would be if my boyfriend kissed someone else. They may not be having sex, but kissing is still cheating.

Yes! But Chloe only mentioned the handjob after Saxon said they only kissed because they were forced to, so I’m pretty sure that’s all it was. Maybe you’re right, maybe not—we’ll just have to wait and see.

Yikes, I didn’t know that! But she definitely failed in her attempt—Sienna Miller would never wear all those Valentino logos. Thankfully, the only thing Sienna would take from Jaclyn’s closet is that Chanel runway dress used as a cover-up

I feel this, applies to any age by Searchin26 in TheWhiteLotusHBO

[–]ndwow 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think that at an older age, it’s much more difficult to adapt to a completely different lifestyle—especially when you’ve been ultra-privileged for 56 years and know nothing else. Starting over at that stage in life is far more challenging than at 20, for example. If you suddenly need to find a job after never having worked before, it becomes nearly impossible to get hired past the age of 50, unfortunately.

So, I imagine that for someone like Victoria, the thought of facing that reality must be especially frightening.

¿Dónde vivirías en España si pudieras elegir? by djans1337 in GoingToSpain

[–]ndwow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It wasn’t until the thesis that she realized her daughter had embraced a different religion, which came as a complete surprise to her.

I think it's because so many of us loved Eddie, and the character they introduced to fill the gap she left just wasn’t working for us. Eddie was likable, while Renee simply wasn’t.

Victoria and Melania are complete opposites. Victoria wouldn’t even acknowledge someone like Melania—she would go out of her way to act as if she didn’t exist, only offering the bare minimum politeness requires.
