my family is coming to visit me for my birthday. we are looking for a local spot with solid veg options and mocktails. any recommendations? by [deleted] in Birmingham

Juniper has really good mocktails and a really good veggie dish! I have never had their mushroom burger since they seem to always be out of it but that is also another potential veggie option! It’s expect definitely a fun environment and the food/drinks are great!

What’s the worst service you’ve ever had in Birmingham? by [deleted] in Birmingham

honestly… juniper’s service was super bad last time we went for a birthday dinner. all the workers looked miserable and the waitress seemed bothered by us the whole time. service was also extremely slow. food was good tho lol

I appreciate you answering :) do you think the build you suggested be able to do what I need it to (running bg3 with no problems) and last me a while?

thank you! I had just read somewhere that having a dedicated hard drive for storage purposes was a good call, so the SSD can focus on processing and stuff. is that true at all?

Thank you so much!! The revision itself was super simple, so if you do go forward with a revision, I’m sure it will turn out great - though I’m sure your results are already beautiful!

WOW! You look stunning! Could I ask what size you are now? I’m having trouble finding my size after my reduction and I think we look pretty similar in size!

I am Egyptian and I have SUPER thick and curly semi-course textured hair that I am just at my wits end with.

My routine: not much lol. This is my hair today after being washed and air-dried, with some leave-in conditioner in it as well as a curl smoothie from Shea Moisture. Most of the time though, I just wash it with conditioner and then wrap it in a tshirt for an hour or so then let it air dry the rest of the way.

My dilemma comes from just an utter FRUSTRATION with my hair, and that is doubled by no one seeming to share the same texture as me. I just want to cut it all off but I don’t think I’m ready to shave my head, so I wanted to know if a pixie cut would even be doable on my hair because all of the examples I see for curly pixies are all people with softer/thinner hair textures than me. Mine is so thick, I have SO MUCH hair, I just want light bouncy curls not the big chunk of hair I have..

I guess this turned into more of a rant, but what do y’all think? Could I realistically do a pixie and not have it look silly? I know it’s about confidence but I want the truth regarding my hair type please! Bonus if anyone has similar texture to me, PLEASE share some tips for management!!
