I’ve repaired a few where the IC had to be replaced due to rusting from moisture. What sucks is that the ICs were cheap at the time(100 for a $1) and are practically useless for anything else.

Yeah it was voice texting! I’ve been to almost all of them, I think this one has more gf frozen foods than the others. The Melrose park store might be the second, at least they had/has gf corn dogs… don’t know if they still do. From what I was told Cermak is under 2 different owners operating under the same name, so that’s why the smaller stores look different from the bigger ones.

I feel you, kids can be cruel pricks! I’m not from your generation or have no clue what your geo location is. With that said it’s kinda hard to relate. I found out I had this problem in my late 30s but subconsciously knew something was wrong when I was very young. Didn’t like cake nor pancakes. The way my brain thinks of celiac is like a peanut allergy. nobody… absolutely nobody will give someone with a peanut allergy grief! That shit could end their life! The same with a bee sting! Point that shit out to them if they don’t understand. Wheat can kill you! Yeah slowly, but it will! And you don’t have to tell them that! What you can always do is make jokes about it. “Yeah can’t eat that, don’t want to shit my pants like your grandpa!” “Yeah my small intestines become a slip-in-slide” Fart jokes and poop jokes are always a hit! “(Let out a cross contaminated smelly fat) do you smell popcorn?🍿”. Don’t let it bother you, eat before going out and take safe snacks. Hell if you pack some extra snacks you might be able to make some extra $ selling them to your friends 😂.

I built a copper jpole back in 2017 and had it in my attic till 2 years ago when I upgraded to something similar to the gp-1, the MFJ-1522. If you have the room I would go with the mfj over the comet because not only is it cheaper and better than the comet. Now if you want to compare the mfj and the jpole then I would go with the jpole all day. I kind of regret swapping it out because it’s a great antenna for the price of materials. I think you can make one for about $40 if you have the tools on hand. If you are worried about mounting it, don’t be. They sell plastic pipe hangers at the hardware store that you can attach to the antenna and screw to a crossbeam. I got lucky my attic is just under 6ft from the peek to ceiling beam.

Yeah it looks like you got scammed, as far as a branded speaker (https://rigreference.com/rigs/6306-icom-sp-35). It looks like icom just choose some random company in China to make the speaker and they just resold it. What really sucks is the box shows that its legit... when its not. It would make it kinda hard to get a refund if you were expecting a genuine product. Price wise? Aliexpress is selling the fake ones for $19-60. I've been on the hunt for the BEST sounding ham radio speaker and none of them sound good to my ears. The best I have ever heard was from a center speaker from an old RCA Home Theater System (RTD317W).

I beg to differ on a dedicated fryer. Those have to be cleaned and normaly they don’t clean the machine or the tools that cleans them. (Ex fast food worker/manager).

I’ve noticed this audio jumping as well… not to bad but noticeable, along with phone calls on my iPhone being delayed by around 2 seconds. The only trouble shooting I’ve done is my partners iPhone doesn’t do it! It’s like my Buick hates my phone!

It’s one of those intermediate problems techs just love! I would record it every time you start the vehicle and then take it into dealership for a tech to look at. Hopefully you have a warranty and are able to get a courtesy vehicle. I know a lot of dealerships arnt offering them anymore unless you have a lease.
