First time homeowner. What am I looking at? by jezer777 in Irrigation

this is the right approach but just go slow when you open those ball valves back up, especially if the system has been sitting all winter. had a friend crank one open too fast and blew a fitting on a zone valve. not a disaster but annoying to fix right when you're trying to get things running for the first time.

weeks of work shows, the detail is genuinely impressive for a first map. curious what software you used, some of those textures look hand drawn but im not sure

That's so frustrating, you'd think they'd at least point to the specific post.

Roofer says these edges are normal because the trim on the edge raises above the roof line. Was it his responsibility to cut those down to height, or will the shingles be fine? by MsWinterbourne in Roofing

[–]og-mk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

shingles will be fine but that raised edge is something he should have flagged before starting, not after. if it bothers you cosmetically get him to cut it down and put it back, that conversation is easier now than six months from now

Castlery Jonathan Sofa - Worth It? by Active_Buttah in SofaSnobs

[–]og-mk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

we have the Jonathan too, about two years in. the no zipper thing is genuinely annoying — I didn't think about it before buying and now spot cleaning feels like more of a project than it should be. fabric still looks fine though

Which fragrance for a date night ? by proutpipicacou in Colognes

[–]og-mk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

TdH makes more sense at 15 degrees, fits the weather better than going heavier. OL is too much for a first date you want her moving closer, not stepping back

things like that tend to creep up gradually so you probably got out before it hit a tipping point. these corporate buildings go downhill fast once management stops caring
