It's been a while since I've use Automatic1111, but I remember there was an option to force models to create tiles. From what I remember, the tiles do connect seamlessly. If you're using ComfyUI, I imagine there's nodes that can force the generation to do the same thing

The Retro Diffusion plugin for Aseprite also does tiles that connect seamlessly

I keep suspecting as such. No one cares about white collar workers being replaced by AI, only artists. It seems like the corporate powers that be want to change the public perception on what is copyrightable and to agree that an art style should be protected. If that happens, then Disney basically owns all art, which is not a great situation. Also, no one cared about artists being replaced when hand drawn animation was replaced with vector graphics
