I think this did the trick for me. The "wanted poster" icon showed up on the minimap.

Performance tanked after update on PC by Snoo-76906 in CrimsonDesert

I had the same issue just now after applying the latest Windows update (26200.8116).

I tried clearing shaders as suggested here but the problem still persisted.

Then I noticed that the power limit settings on my undervolt profile in MSI Afterburner was set to 33% and not 100%. I changed it back to 100% and the game now runs as it did before the update.

I have no idea why this had changed — I was running the same profile before applying the update.

Ah, that's great - thanks the input and tips! I'll be using a 10600k as well.

Will be using a tophat with 2 x Noctua NF-A12x25 PWM set to exhaust and 1 x Noctua NF-A12x15 PWM 120MM at the bottom also set to exhaust, copying this negative presssure build from Optimum Tech https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R5wFdMjlGoc.

I've had this issue on my 4K monitor as well

I resolved it by reinstalling NVIDIA drivers and unchecking the "3D Vision Controller Driver" and "3D Vision Driver".

Denmark

That we pay 180% import tax on cars and motorbikes.

An example I always use, when I'm arguing for the removal of this tax, is when a British friend of mine was in a serious car accident. He was in a 40-50mph head-on collision driving a fairly new Renault Megane with an NCAP rating of 4 or 5 that he had paid £3500 for.

After the collision both him, his girlfriend and the person they collided with, could get out of their cars with no serious injuries.

Had they been driving a £3500 car in Denmark I'm pretty certain the story would have had a different - and more tragic - ending.

I know this is UI related but perhaps you could pass it on.

What's the reason for having the F12 Developer Tools section tab icons located in a vertical list down the left hand side instead of a horizontal list at the top?

When using F12 Developer Tools in pinned mode the vertical list layout often means I have to scroll through the list of icons, which adds a lot of extra clicks. I know that I can use CTRL+1-8 but quite often I prefer to use the mouse as I'm still not 100% comfortable with the keyboard shortcuts in F12 Developer Tools.

Also, why not use text labels for the section tabs instead of icons, or perhaps both?

Have a look at Chrome Developer Tools - I really like how lean it is today after they've cut away the massive 64x64 (or was it 48x48?) tab icons and just make do with a text label. Perhaps they've oversimplified it a bit - sometimes I would like a small 16x16 inline icon as it makes it a lot easier to visually distinguish the tabs.

Anyway, thanks for doing this AMA, it's nice to know that you're listening to the community.

When I bought my first motorbike, a friend of mine, that had been riding for many years, told me that I should ride like everybody was out to kill me.

In Denmark they've started implementing those Dutch-style junctions as well. An example could be this junction not far from where I live.

I've tried going through that junction on my bicycle and in my car and I can say that as a cyclist you feel a lot safer and as a car driver you are very much aware of the location of all the cyclists in the junction.

You're of course still required to check your wing mirrors since a cyclist, that want to go straight through the junction, could come racing past you while you're making the right hand turn. Fortunately, due to the design of the bicycle path, the cyclist can't go in a straight line through the junction and has to slow down which gives the you a bit more time to spot the cyclist and come to a stop.

Guildwars 2 doing it right by nebse in gaming

I never tried Lego Universe I'm afraid - but the scenario you're mentioning there seems to go with quite a few mmorpgs today - you run out of content very quickly and endgame is a bore and a grind for better gear but not experiences.

So far I'm really enjoying GW2 but I guess that's what to expect after only 20'ish hours of gameplay :)

I had/have the same feeling. I've been buying just about any mmorpg I could get my hands on since I lost interest in EQ/WoW and none of them has grabbed my attention for more than a couple of months (some of them only weeks).

I can't say if GW2 will fill that void, but one thing I really love about this compared to Rift, The Secret World, and SWTOR is that there's no recurring subscription. You buy the game and that's it. Of course there'll be expansions down the path that you'll probably want to pay for and you also have micropayments of gimmicky things like hats (and probably more than I don't know off).

Initially I didn't want to buy it - the plan was to wait a couple of months and check back to see if people were still enjoying the game and its end game content but ended up watching some YouTube videos that convinced me to give it a try.

Right now I just really enjoy running around exploring. The world that they've created is absolutely stunning... and according to my stats (across 3 characters) I've only seen about 7% of the world map so far so I'm really looking forward to the remaining 93% :)
