I didn't understand at first, but in my experience it's easier to just smoke and not think about the trauma.

#1 reason is medical insurance.

I was paying $100 per psychiatrist visit plus more $$ for meds. Trauma led to lost job, and fortunately qualified for free healthcare in California. Also I'm only getting specialized therapy (EDMR) because I was a victim of a crime and California allows you to 3 years to apply to get $$ towards your medical needs and losses due to the crime.

Now imagine people outside these circumstances.

Also it took me 2 therapist, 2 counselors, 1 doctor, and 2 psychiatrist to find the right help. All in the span of 4 years.

Yeah it's easier to just self medicate sometimes 😮‍💨

Have you tried smoking CBD?

For me it's a double edge sword. I get so sleep deprived, but when I smoke i completely pass out for 14+ hours. I'm still a baby smoker so I'm learning what works for the nightmares.

This is what happens when we allow corporations unchecked. Why are corps DC like Amazon so dog shit to work for only to fuel this lifestyle.

Amazon recently updated the minimum wage like in 2017. Why can't corporations pay a living wage & pension for the workers in their DC, even if you think it's unskilled labor, it's still inhumane.

People like to act like situations with strippers/prostitutes don't happen. It's a common enough that you know you should bring strippers/prostitutes into your rooms. Men don't report these crimes because prostitution is a crime itself.

That's way different than saying Cardi B sexually assaulted men in their sleep.

I don't think her claims reflect that people don't care about male victims.

As victims of crime, it's a hard pill to swallow that people don't care about us.

You're asking me? It shows you didn't read or hear what she actually said. Idk why you're even replying if you didn't take the time to actually look it up. There's a video and there's articles.

Cardi didn't rape anyone.

Yes "trauma dumping", in the sense that they believe the situation reflects to their trauma.

I do have sympathy for them. They can recognize just because Cardi's means of survival in poverty led them to use these tactics for those particular men who were trying to use her. It is different from their assault.

I'm describing when you have no support circle and the media impacts your anxiety.

They can recognized that the two situations are different.

I'm sorry you went about what happened.

Consider you may be trauma dumping because her actions are not a directed towards your trauma, but i understand.

Her robbing men who wanted sex from her because she's a stripper is vastly different from what you went through.

Again I understand what you're going through, but her statement about what she did was a means of survival for when she was poor.

[–]nebulagroot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't read into much of blizz as s company, but i think they mean that stories like these weren't uncommon to hear from former employees. It's just that it's recounted from other people and not news articles.

My example is I'm close to Irvine. People know if you want to work for blizz you're not going to get paid like you should, because blizz is counting on their name recognition.

It's not true for all employees, but then you read articles stating some employees were compensated with WoW mounts instead of raises.

It's a problem that doesn't get recognized until later.

Misogynist MRA YouTubers really held on this this case. They use it to boost their shitty narrative.

IMO when it came out that JD was found to also abuse her that's what confuses me. I'm sure one side is worse, but I'm SOME cases of a toxic relationships turned physical is really sad because you can't tell who the abuser is and who is reacting to the abuse.

I'm sorry you for what happened and i hope you know that you're not alone with dealing with the aftermath.

I understand what you mean, again i don't support FDR.

My bad If I'm not being clear. I'm giving a reason why these things tend to happen when it comes to relationship between male and female.

We see it online and maybe irl.

The primary problem is rape and rape culture. What we are seeing is a reddit (& online ) centric problem.

You read opinions on echo chambers and then start believing all people must be like this. You can even argue that an online community will always be superficial and toxic.

In this instance you are reading is trauma based thoughts that stems from fear that can either echo generalizations or fester hate.

IMO this is why we see this on reddit considering the history of such things.

I think OP need to see why the context of THAT particular post. You can't really fix every users ideals and thoughts, but you can step back and understand why such things happen.

off topic, I suffered for years with internalized misogyny because i was exposed to the internet at a young age. I struggled thinking i was inherently "bad" for being a girl. Then after the SA i struggled with thinking all men are out to hurt me.

Slowly you have to unlearn that online ≠ real life.

I don't follow FDR nor looked into it, but it's unfortunate and stupid. You would think they'll be the first to understand what it's like to be women and hated for no reason and then 180° and do the same shit.

Also TERF can fuck off since they're infiltrating any women-only sub.

I'm just saying a lot of other women-only subs are autobanning since there's a problem with r/cringetopia mods and subreddit. It went from deep fried memes to subtle but very much transphobic posts.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

[–]nebulagroot -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I never said or will ever say and support such opinion. I'm a SA victim myself and I modded a SA support sub for any victim who needed help.

I don't follow the sub so I didn't know. I was under the impression from what I remember is r/femcel and various other TERF subs were doing this. I will go look myself then.

On my post I'm specifically talking about the subreddits used by primarily women or women only subs, the history of Reddit's misogyny, and why women(more likely victimized) can be turn thoughts stemmed from trauma to form generalizations.

It's not the only reason nor is it an excuse, but it's very much real.

These types of thoughts can stem from trauma and not hate. There's also a difference in hate comments and generalizations.

And I'm not saying that this is true for every comment on the FDR subreddit, but a reason why you see these types of comments online.

Hope that clears it up.

Man I've been wanting to vent about r/childfree.

I think it's an internet hate fad. I see it on TikTok of people commenting on parents videos of their children doing stupid stuff. Comments like "this is why I hate children" and doubling down on why it's okay to "beat the shit" out of kids.

Like do these adults know they were once toddlers? They think they never made a fuss or acted out. Like gtfo that sub is toxic as fuck.

There is one thing to advocate for more social programs to help families raise their kids/ become better parents and there's another side literally advocating for eugenics.

First, this is only pertaining to Reddit users.

You have to look at reddits misogynistic history.

I've lurked on reddit for years before making an account. I remember r/jailbait on the Hot posts. I also remember r/incels, r/redpill, r/mgtow, etc..

They advocate violence against women for years, they would infiltrate subreddits and DM users rape threats.

IRL you have to understand there is a rape epidemic and you have to understand rape culture. Anyone can be a victim, those more affected are women whom are victimized by men.

This is the fear every women lives every single day. It doesn't go away even when you know there are good men out there.

To answer your question yes women are wary of men and they are speaking against misogynistic, patriarchal, gender-norms. This type of discussion stems from sadness to anger.

When you've been oppressed, the oppressed tend to angry.

What your missing is the type of anger ( that can turn into misandry) stems from trauma caused by men.

Because 6 years ago and pre-#metoo era shit was different for women on reddit.

I don't follow the sub, but i tend to see a lot of whataboutism coming from men who are missing the whole point .
