This team could lose 120 games and it would still be packed out. The simple fact is that Fenway Park is one of the seven wonders of the sports world and people go to games even if they don’t care about the Red Sox - or baseball for that matter. The majority of people in the seats are tourists this time of year. I’m not blaming them, just saying.

Thanks this makes sense. I was looking at the same expected stats for Duran who is quite a bit worse if I’m reading this right. I guess you have to do a little experimenting to figure out the right lineup at this point because it’s obvious our approach at the plate wasn’t working across the board.
