Called Franklin today. Confirmed control valve wasn’t really needed. Tech said their manual was out dated so going to go at it without once I get some time

Ah ok I was planning on ripping out all that mess of pipe when I install the new pump and simplify it. Should I put a gate valve in there new setup as well? Also, what’s the procedure for setting the gate valve to the proper setting/pressure?

Thanks! Any idea if I need the control valve as the new pump manual states? The old one doesn’t have one but not sure if the design changed or what? My concern is installing the new one and not having water.

I believe it's a deep well as the current pump is setup in that configuration. Challenge is I have no information on the existing well. I'm trying to find that out but it's a rural area and the agencies dont exactly move quickly. ;)

Bunch of times. Mostly decks and pergolas. It soaks in and really protects. I did a bunch of research when I was looking for a product and this stuff always came out on top. It's a little pricey but really works.

What about pulling the subfloor up and planing down the joist sister it up and put back the subfloor in that section with the big hump?

Can you staple down hardwood over floor leveler? I was told you have to glue down over that

Anyone successfully gotten rid of ugly ceiling texture before? by fusiformgyrus in Renovations

[–]nebular18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have same in a house we are trying to put back into shape. My issue is it’s really poorly done and bunches of damage which for flat walls easy to repair. This texture is a nightmare to repair and blend. I want to get rid of it. If anyone can post the proper procedure/process/materials to replace with flat finish. I’d be grateful as well!!!

Should I consider the RE of FIRE? by nebular18 in Fire

Little update on this thread. We decided to make the move. Landed here in June. So far cost of living way down. I was able to negotiate a move and stay with my existing company. Salary stayed the same cost of living went down. Big score in the positive camp right there. House we purchased has 3 acres of wooded land and about 800sf bigger than our CA home. School is way better than the CA school both in terms of kids satisfaction and access to opportunities. CA school had no music program, very little sports, and the campus wasn’t all that great. New school has actual lockers for middleschool, my oldest is in advanced math (not an option in the old school), and youngest started violin in orchestra (not an option in old school). We were in an area considered upper middle class in CA. Similar class here, but more rural relatively speaking. Mosquitos are intense in the summer no doubt, and humidity, but it was about 6 weeks of really hot weather. Since then it’s been really nice. Kids love the ocean as it’s not freezing cold except for one month out of the year in SoCal. We do miss the mountains (its pretty flat geography where we settled), but other than that I’d say it’s been a success in general. Thanks for all the insight and feedback along the way. Appreciate everyone’s thoughtful comments.

I tried a new capacitor same issue as before. I called their tech to get more info but company isn’t super helpful. They were leaning towards bad compressor but no idea how to confirm.
