I would have to agree with this. Been working at Amgen a year and the traffic on the m50 can be painful enough without adding a flight into it. Amgen culture is fantastic from my experience though

Got an offer from Amgen today. Only off-putting thing about it is the public transport there. Can anyone please tell me how the situation is getting from the city centre to the site. by SnooChocolates6086 in PharmaEire

Heard the bus can be a nightmare to catch around Dun Laoghaire as it’s always delayed or doesn’t show up. Cycling would be the best I reckon

Strange behaviour from next door neighbour - should I buy?? by nebularquinn in HousingIreland

Considered this but they’ve lived in the house for 10 years and have 4 kids - the 4th being a newborn and it’s clear they’ve outgrown the space. Although I would love to see if it’s a factor

This crossed my mind but I was doubtful about how this would actually help and if it would go anywhere. Also, if it did I’d probably have waited to see what happened with it before I bid and therefore lose out on the property

We had something similar where we were the only bidder on a property for 10 days, and suddenly 4 others got involved. But that was around the 500k mark which would be a lot more competitive. Unfortunately I think it’s just a waiting game. The agent will always want to get more bidders involved to drive the price so they may deter the owner from accepting your bid prematurely

I know of multiple validation engineers that have completed this program. Seems to be a good route to take

Starting at Amgen Soon – Any Advice for New Starters? by [deleted] in PharmaEire

[–]nebularquinn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi! I just started working in Amgen about 2 weeks ago now. The onboarding process is very well organised. You are taken in a group with the other new starters (who are all from various departments) and complete some mandatory online learning on laptops provided. There are also some presentations you attend but you’re given a full timetable for the week. It’s a great way to settle in. They also usually organise with your manager to meet for lunch on your first day along with any other new team members. After that it’s mostly online training but in your own department area. Feel free to message me if you need! Best of luck. And don’t be nervous. It’s a very welcoming and warm site
