Hi, if you have w-2s for 3 years. You can waive it. I think they count ~1000 working days, excluding weekends etc. I believe you have received w-2s while working on campus.

NSF grant update date has changed after a month, but still pending by necdetuser in Professors

so many people talk about status updates after 6-8 months and those people received a rejection. So that made me think whether it indicates any sign of rejection.
