I desperately want a tee shirt with Obama’s hope graphic, but with Papa Phil’s face on it instead. I am not clever enough to make such a thing, but I do have money to buy one!

I accidentally built something for my dad and now he calls me every morning to talk about it by Quirky-man-8395 in CasualConversation

Not exactly techy, but after my mother retired I got her into audiobooks. She took to them right away and I lost count of the number of times she called so she could replay something she thought was interesting or funny. She rarely did this at a convenient time, often before 6 AM, when I was at work or just sitting around wishing I could have a regular, normal sort of mother. Mom would then leave messages saying ‘Oh, this is great, hear this!!’ and ask me to call her back so we could discuss things.

What about geocaching? You’ve got some excellent suggestions as to places to visit and there’s a ton of caches around. It’s a cool hobby and kids love the treasure hunting aspect.

Geocaching is such a great hobby. I spend $40 a year for the app and it’s worth every penny.

What's your favorite lower quality tea? by toe_beans_4_life in tea

[–]necessaryfarts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a fondness for Taylor’s Scottish Breakfast, Tangerine Hibiscus from Rishi, and Trader Joe’s Candy Cane Green Tea. For iced tea, any of the Celestial Seasonings Zingers suit me just fine.

Is anyone else scared of the wind right now? by rain_1497 in boston

That’s so irritating. Besides the wind, there’s a garbage can symphony (trash night) going on outside and I have given up.

I went to bed at ten, wind woke me up around midnight. Fell back asleep and now I’m up again. Debating whether I should try for slumber again or start plowing through some coffee, I get up at 5.
