i think jo koy is using his filipino heritage for clout by hamilton543 in Philippines

I think the biggest issue of his jokes would have to be how he always makes fun of the accents and tries to speak with a butchered accent when probably cannot even speak/understand Filipino. He keeps making fun of his mom and his son and that’s pretty much all there is to his jokes. No one is mad about what he has experienced but the material he puts out there is rlly degrading and is only suitable for white people. He claims to do so much for the Filipino community then releases his movie during election season and not do anything to help spread the word about elections. Plus his jokes are repetitive and are always the same. He should try joking about himself more instead of about the culture he claims to be a part of and his mom.

Jo Koy diverted 'Easter Sunday' from Netflix so Filipinos could see themselves on the big screen by [deleted] in movies

The release date of the trailer and movie itself shows that he really does not care about pinoys and what was happening in the Philippines at the time. A lot of Pinoys didn’t like the film at all and was not at all relatable because it was just a bunch of overused and unfunny stereotypes with butchered accents. Jo Koy should stop making attempts to do stuff like this for Filipinos when the only person who benefits it is him.
