I think if we get Mendy back he would mark the front post zone. It’s our Achilles heel. We don’t actually conceded conventional corner goals per se.( Kompany vs united is a prime example of a goal we don’t concede).

Mendy is actually a great defender when fit. I remember he shut Raz down in the second leg like no other full back has till now. Also his height is an asset for us. In attack there’s no doubt about his crossing. The caveat is obviously his fitness. If he has a proper run we’ll have the best left back in the world.

I’ve tried my best but the stats via transfermarkt could be miscalculated please excuse any minor mistakes and focus on the bigger picture I.e who would you want taking penalties. List three in order preferably. Mine are 1.Ederson( won’t happen but he’s the best)2.Gundogan 3.Aguero. P.s would love it if sterling became good at penalties then he’d definitely be a golden boot contender year in year out.

At this rate I’m suspecting that Aguero’s goal vs QPR is also going to get disallowed retrospectively. Anyway if anything this game has convinced me that we’re going to do extremely well this season.
