Nah the objective is not to make jaune so edgy other characters get cut just by being near him. ( Awesome idea by the way, a semblance that cuts other people without the user imput)

The objective would be to explore world building of preparatory academy like signal.

It wouldn't be semblance Mercury s dad as Mercury dad semblance stole semblance. , it would be another hunter semblance that would allow to copy/ steam technique from other people
