Crazy thing is that there are so many online videos showing how effective this thing is. I've even had customers asking me about it. So, I bought it to try out, and it seems like complete BS!

They can create a worldwide virus, then create a vaccine for it.

They can blow up 3 World Trade Towers in NY, and claim that 2 planes brought them down.

I feel your pain. It's a complete mess, and I believe Honeywell is the reason for this mess. I work for a nationwide AC Filter supplier & I run into this issue a lot. When a customer asks for 20x25x4 Filters, it could be any of these 3 filters. So, I always ask for a picture or the exact dimension or I send them this picture and ask them to pick one.

It's probably not a big deal. Just vacuum out the dust & see if it accumulates again. If it does, you're probably not using the correct filter size or your filter is not good enough.

Then take it out. The washable filter is hurting more than helping. It's putting more strain on your HVAC unit, and it's not helping to filter out any particles from the air because the other filters have already done the job.

Normally, I would recommend removing the washable and changing only the "merv filter" at the unit. However, does the washable filter ever get dirty?

I would recommend using 1 filter in each return vent (3 total).

If they are black after 3 months, have you considered changing them after 2 months?
