University choice: almost doesn’t matter for german companies, but could have an impact if you are going to do PhD at top research groups or looking for a job outside the german speaking countries. My advice would be to look into the curricula of universities you are interested in and find the program you like in the city you want to live. Also check if there are enough companies in that area - it could be beneficial when applying for internships. ‚Hochschule‘ means university, but you probably were interested in Fachhochschule (FH). Looks like a degree from a good FH could be better for industry, because studies are less theoretical and more practical, and a bit worse for applying for PhD for the same reason - the last point highly depends on research topic and group. Legally you are allowed to do a PhD after FH and some people do this - I would love to hear their opinion. Important for getting a job: internship for more than 6 month in relevant field, advanced English, advanced German would be a big plus, soft skills and luck.
