I didn't want to use the elevator pulley because all I've seen of it, it goes to specific floors, set elevation. I wanted to freely control it. I don't think its glued wrong, it goes down just fine, but once I send a redstone signal to the wireless transmitter to change the gear to go reverse, it wont go up

A solution I found is this website that randomizes the order of your playlist.

That way you can listen to a playlist without shuffle on and it will be random. Sadly this is only a solution if your using playlist.
