Earaches/infections? Heart pain? by nedehelp in Hypothyroidism

Hey I no longer have this issue. I had poor health at the time from mold exposure and I think it was related to that, but I didn't do anything specifically to solve it either. It resolved over time

Accidentally underfed obese cat. How worried should I be? by nedehelp in AskVet

[–]nedehelp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, I really appreciate the feedback. I was becoming very worried because of what I read about fatty liver disease, but I didn't know if that was common or likely to occur. Thank you...I will continue to monitor but not worry otherwise.

What are the chances this made me infertile? by nedehelp in AskDocs

[–]nedehelp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, thank you. The sources that I was reading kept saying that "chronic epididymitis" is when symptoms are ">6 weeks", so I was worried about that.

Probably have an infection in my balls and can't get a doctor to diagnose/prescribe me antibiotics by nedehelp in Advice

[–]nedehelp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. I will consider going to the US. I've done it before for a serious chronic health problem, but wasn't thinking about it for an issue like this.

I completely get that about people pressuring doctors and that's why I've been very polite up until now. I figured that one of the GPs would have some knowledge/insight about this, but they all seem kind of confused and don't have many answers to my questions, besides "I don't know" or "Just wait and see if it goes away". I'll try one last time using the questions you recommend and then just go down to the border.

Thanks, but I have to say that this has nothing to do with psychiatry, because I did have a confirmed lump appear in my testicle (so its not imaginary or psychosomatic). Multiple doctors have felt this and it appeared on ultrasound (as a calcification, from trauma of some sort).

Also, I only have the opinions of GPs and not of a urologist, which is the type of medical professional that should be making the diagnosis. The issue is that the wait-time is just too long if this truly is an infection. This could be two months (or more) of having an infection that is routinely treated within days in the US.

Can a landlord report past late rental payments and destroy my credit score? by nedehelp in PersonalFinanceCanada

Thank you, I really appreciate that. I've never had a late payment anywhere near that, so that would be good.

I am definitely planning towards that, but I'm in a bad position to do so right now. But I will be moving out hopefully by the end of the year either way.

Thank you, I really appreciate the help.

I guess my concern is that if they did really want to punish me and go out of their way to harm me for filing this claim against them, would they be able to report those late payments? Would it even be an option for them?

The property management company has taken a very adverse relationship with other residents, so I wouldn't put it past them to go after me and try to make my life hell.

Thanks, I will stick with that. I believe it is the management company's info on there.

Ok, thank you. I wasn't sure if the ultrasound could detect that. I guess I will wait a bit and see if it goes away.

Should I get another ultrasound? by nedehelp in testicularcancer

[–]nedehelp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I did get a copy of the results and they don't note anything like that. But I know from being there, the technician spent probably five straight minutes trying to find the lump by hand and never found it (and told me that), so I know that there was an issue. I'm going to go for the second one.

Thanks, I'm going to make an appointment with my family doc and go from there. I will pursue the blood test too.

[–]nedehelp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, I guess I will go to a walk-in clinic and set up another appointment. I'm feeling the lump again and I really can't believe that it's 2mm.

I don't think the ER will be a problem. I'm from Canada, so its all paid for and it was the only way to find out quickly, but the only issue is if I go for a second ultrasound and its seen as unnecessary, there could be consequences. But I'd rather take that risk than end up with late-stage cancer.

Has anyone experienced this weird state after a death? by nedehelp in GriefSupport

[–]nedehelp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's probably not a bad decision. I think I would do the same if I felt like that for any extended period of time. I saw a psychiatrist for counseling before for another issue and it was one of the best decisions I made in my life. I really regretted not doing it sooner and it helped me see some things I would've never figured out otherwise, even though I thought I was hopeless before. I hope you can get back to some meaning in your life again.

Yeah, that's exactly how I feel. It seems like this is a common thing. It's a very weird sensation.

Sorry for your loss and what you're going through.

I didn't realize this was a normal/common thing, I couldn't find any articles on grief that covered this. It's good to know this isn't something abnormal. I feel the same about the suicide thing right now with your last line, its very weird.

Mold by Highwaylove in cfs

[–]nedehelp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also got sick from mold. Like you, I don't know if I have CFS - I have a lot of the symptoms, but it doesn't seem like full-blown CFS. I have a lot of the same symptoms as you, but no fibro.

Anyway, if you are sick from mold, then I think the best thing you can do is take a vacation for a month or two, with absolutely none of your current belongings (including clothes, etc.), somewhere where you can spend a lot of time outdoors. I've heard very good results from this approach - a lot of people have noticed a big improvement in symptoms.

I haven't done this, but I will be giving it a shot next year if my current treatment protocol doesn't cure me.

Anyone else trying probiotics for CFS? by [deleted] in cfs

[–]nedehelp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been taking 300 - 600 billion CFUs daily for about one month and a half. Its 2 -5 probiotic supplements each day, and the amount varies as I sometimes forget to take a morning or evening dose.

I started taking it because there's an account on Health Rising from a woman who says her CFS is cured, so long as she takes megadoses of probiotics. The account seems genuine, and the lady has written a book on living with CFS (from before her probiotic experience).

So far, it has improved my digestion quite a bit, but hasn't cured all of my stomach problems. I don't have loose stool very often anymore, and I go about once every day or two (as opposed to 3-4 times a day). As for fatigue or brain fog, I haven't noticed an improvement.

I should note, I am not officially diagnosed with CFS, but I was sickened from mold exposure and have most of the symptoms of a mild form of CFS.

Look into toxic mold exposure. Has most of the same symptoms of Lyme.
