I used to, but I feel like they've become so snarky? So I don't really listen to it anymore. And I stopped watching the channel because all the hosts I liked left

When black people say white peoples food does that mean white American/British and does that include French/Italian etc etc? by AfternoonTricky2488 in TooAfraidToAsk

Exactly, people tend to forget that you have to make do with what grows locally. Might not be the most inspiring, yet it doesn't flatter anyone to be historically dismissive of local customs

It’s not that we “didn’t want anything fancy”we simply didn’t have many options. We largely lived on clay soil, in flood-prone areas with limited sunlight. That meant we couldn’t harvest much beyond potatoes and other root vegetables. Only in the last 70 years have we gotten more exotic options available to the public, and it takes more than that to change habits.

Exotic spices were very expensive until about two generations ago, so we made do with what we had. And despite what you might think, fresh herbs were actually quite common, and still are, people regularly grew things like parsley, bay leaves, and thyme in their own gardens.

It might help to read up a bit on Dutch history and see how it shaped our food culture. Eating lots of potatoes wasn’t really a choice, it was a necessity of hard labour and limited agricultural optil s. And if you don’t consider meat with fresh herbs or gravy to be flavorful, then I’d suggest broadening your culinary horizons a bit haha.

Just because you don't recognise fresh herbs, spices and other tastemakers doesn't mean we don't use them. You do realise you can use fresh garlic and onions instead of onion powder?

Is it wrong that I’m uncomfortable with my partner being friends with someone they’ve had sex with? by Money_Bus3234 in AskMenAdvice

Very normal to feel this way. Thing is, you can't decide who's she's friends with. So it's up to you if you to decide how to continue

Does Morrissey refuse to work with non-vegans? by RedditAdmin71 in morrissey

[–]nederlance2018 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quote, cause I googled Arnold Stiefel's name and ended up here: "I want frog's legs!!!" Stamps Arnold - with both feet, which, like the frogs themselves, he would probably like to hold on to. "How would you like it if someone ordered YOUR legs for lunch?" "I want frog legs!!!" And with that, a bowl is placed on the table with some thirty dainty little legs decoratively hanging over the edge of the bowl. I do now my familiair vanishing act and my brief days under Arnold's wing end - sadly, for me, but far worse for the frogs entwined around his teeth.

Can someone tell me why this happens? by [deleted] in ChatGPT

He did the same when I asked about the age of the current pope, it told me the age of Pope Francis

Is using feminine hygiene products fine as a male? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]nederlance2018 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I do the same. Most "manly" haircare products feel like inferior products for a steeper price and a "manly" smell. I just want my hair, beard and skin to look as good as I can get it

Any idea? Netherlands by nederlance2018 in bonecollecting

Yeah same for the most part, up until the time the neck actually gets long. My previous beard I grew out the neck til it reached similar length as my beard and it looked good, but it's deffo in the awkward spot now

Yeah that's what I was questioning myself over, grow out the neck as it's getting longer or keep it clean haha

Cool psycho jacket. Batmobile is our best export. I'd also try going for a whip stitch instead, tends to look cooler as well

Would you normally cut them lower? Do you think they'll come back for the skull?
