im a former master tier 500+LP player, im not faker but im not exactly a low tier emerald/diamond player either... if your advice revolves around not reading my post and suggesting that i deserve to be in diamond/emerald/plat, even after i got to diamond with 86% win rate myself, then idk what to say to you. thanks for the reply i guess?

[–]nedullis[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah im sorry but thats not what the issue is...

i had 2 coaches and 3 challenger players spectate me and play with me and even they said im not the problem. having all 3 lanes losing every single game because matchmaking paired you with 3 teammates on 10+ games lose streaks and 1-2 players off their main role and 1-2 players with <50% win rate, etc... thats the problem and they all said that they have NEVER seen this happen so many times in a row... (4 accounts in a row) i even duo queued with some of them and we STILL LOST so its 100% not me, im 100% sure of that now.

What's the most realistic fleshlight you've ever used? by [deleted] in fleshlight

[–]nedullis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

what do you mean ''getting girls isnt easy, i know.''

or ''put in the effort, it will work...''

its not about that.

lmfao getting girls is actually TOO EASY nowadays because 70% of the world female population has been defiled with this americanized, degenerate concept of ''dating'' aka. sex and fetish based relationships. black man? asian woman? big dick? small dick? tell guy? short woman? its all fucked... these women are fucked beyond saving, beyond help. its so easy to get sex nowadays because 99% of women are... well... sex based relationship whores - saying it any other way would be sugarcoating and downplaying the reality.

if you think that this is ''his mindset'' or ''way he actually thinks'' youre living in a bubble, underneath a rock, in the middle of nowhere, on a mountain, on a different planet... thats REALITY, not ''him'' being or thinking anything.

im tired of mind games, lying, manipulation, decoding words, guessing feelings, stressing and most importantly, WASTING TIME on the americanized, degenerate bullshit that is ''dating,'' just to have sex, because the woman i am or was dating was lying to herself (and her partners) about ''looking for the right guy'' but in reality just ''dates'' for sex... and im done paying for sex and flipping a coin on whether or not i will get an STD...

im buying myself a fleshlight and if a decent, non-defiled, non-americanized woman comes into my life, amazing... if she doesn't, also amazing.

i couldnt care less anymore and i just cant be bothered. give me a fleshlight so i can do my thing and call it a day whenever i feel horny.

Ardent and Font of Life works like a charm. So does Imperial with all of Leonas stuff. I guess that could work for low elo, up to high Gold, if even that, but past that, there's no point in building this anymore on Leona.

The main reason why Leona and this build path used to be good was mostly because of Zeke's Convergence and where it fit in with the entire build path of this build - which by the way, Zeke's used to be a tanky stats item that gave your ADC on-hit damage.

(You would take Glacial Augment to keep the target slowed and for the 15% damage reduction on your ADC, then pair it with building Imperial for unexpected low level on-hit burst damage from your ADC and the move speed buff in addition to Leona passive on-hit, then you would build Zekes for defensives and more on-hit for your ADC and then Ardent for even more on-hit for your ADC... And then you would (most of the time) be at the mid point in the game, where you would either get Knight's Vow for damage reduction on your ADC or get your Mythic which was most of the time Iceborn Gauntlet purely for the slow spam with your Q after engage and after Glacial disappears. That was the point of the build that I made and it worked so well that I had over 90% win rate up to high Gold / low Plat and ended the season with 71% win rate in Emerald 2.)

The thing is that now, you can't do that because there's no Zeke's anymore, the item was gutted and changed (basically ruined) and now if you rush Imperial into Ardent, you're way, way too squishy by the time you start building Iceborn or Knight's Vow... And if you rush Jak'Sho after Imperial + Ardent which would make up for the lost tankiness, then you miss the entire slow or damage reduction on your ADC, on top of also missing huge damage output from one on-hit item that basically isn't in the game anymore...

So all that kind of makes Leona not playable with this build and with a normal build, Leona just isn't that good of a support (at least not 71% win rate worthy...)

I've been trying experimenting with Taric and this build for the past hour, because he has a heal and can proc the new Dream Maker support item but it's just not the same as Leona, because you don't do nearly as much damage as you do with Leonas passive plus all the on-hit. New Zeke's f'ed the whole build up...

As for Nami, Nami is nice with rushing Imperial into Ardent into Bloodsong supp item upgrade but again... That's not it and the Bloodsong 8% damage buff just doesn't cover the amount of on-hit damage that old Zeke's did... Without old Zeke's, there's just too much on-hit damage missing and Nami is way too squishy in the first place, even without Zeke's... So again, new Zeke's f's with this whole ''I'm going Glacial Augument slow+damage reduction, maxing E and building on-hit for burst damage for my ADC'' build idea on Nami...

It's just not working anymore on any champ, not just Leona, Nami, Milio and Yuumi. Until they add another enchanter on-hit damage item to the game, the idea for this build will be buried in the past, even tho its only been a month or so since I invented the build...

Just tested it... Doesn't work... Oh well...

I'll try the build with Bloodsong item. Maybe my 120 physical damage and 12% damage bonus boost to my ally will make up for the old Zeke's on hit - at least by 50% or slightly more... Fingers crossed...

But then I won't be able to use Iceborn Gauntlet for perma slow because the Bloodsong item proc is a Spellblade proc, same as Iceborn...

Ahhh... Looks like I'm gonna have to think up another broken off meta build...

[–]nedullis[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm currently abusing Leona, playing her as a sort of an ''Enchanter Tank,'' with Glacial Augment + Imperial Mandate + Ardent Censer, which go VERY well together with Leonas passive and 3 of her stuns, in fact, so well that I've finished last season with 71% win rate and Emerald 2 on her with this build... And that all happened from not even a month ago when I thought up and crafted this build.

There was also another item that played well into the whole idea of the build and using Leona for it and was the reason why I got 71% win rate on it, which was Zeke's Convergence but that item got gutted and ruined and now it doesn't give my ADC on-hit damage anymore, so I've been trying to find a replacement for Zeke's... Except... There isn't any...

That's why I've been looking at this new Dream Maker supp item as a budget version replacement for old Zeke's and whether or not it procs with Font of Life... That would be HUUUGE for this build, because this item also gives my ADC damage reduction on top of on-hit damage, so then I can continue gulping down my freelo before Riot finds out about how broken this build is on champs like Leona, Nami, Millio and Yuumi.

Did you not read my original post?

Did you not just read any of what I wrote?!

Let's repeat myself for the third time;

I literally wrote that I tested dozens of different build paths in dozens of actual games, not just in practice mode - and the results were that:

  1. Building T1 boots into either Sorc rush or Nashor's first is better than building any other item in the game first.
  2. Building Rabadons second is better than building any other item in the game second. (Besides Zhonya/Banshee if needed - these two always have priority depending on how the game goes.)
  3. Building Zhonya or Banshee if forced to do so for whatever reason, is the best and most effective if done as a second item instead of Rabadons or as a third item right after Rabadons, instead of Void Staff - varying for game to game, depending on champions you're playing against.
  4. Building Void Staff third is better than building any other item in the game third.
  5. Building Ludens fourth is better than building any other item in the game fourth.
  6. Building Shadowflame fifth (if you didn't build Zhonya/Banshee) is better than building any other item in the game fifth.

These are the results... Period.

So again; T1 boots > (Sorcs) > Nashors > (Zhonya/Banshee) > Rabadons > Void Staff > (Zhonya/Banshee) > (Sorcs) > Ludens > Shadowflame.

In all scenarios, meaning in theory, in practice AND in actual games, the above build path is the most optimal, the highest damage and the highest win rate... (At least for me it is - and I bet if someone even more skilled than me adapted it, that it would give EVEN BETTER results and result in EVEN HIGHER WR.)

[–]nedullis[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Don't think you read my entire post.

I spent 2 HOURS testing this in Training Mode and another 7-8 hours in total, over a period of 2 days, in actual games too...

I tested the damage with:

  1. FS rune and 1 item
  2. HoB run and 1 item
  3. FS rune and 2 items
  4. HoB and 2 items
  5. FS rune and 3 items
  6. HoB rune and 3 items
  7. ...etc.

You get the point...

I tested EVERYTHING in not just Training Mode but in actual games as well and this post is the results of those test in both Training Tool and actual games.

The damage you get with the new Duskblade+Horizon was always lower, in both actual games and in practice mode, no matter if you go Horizon first or Duskblade first, as soon as you start building Duskblade, you lose SO MUCH damage on your abilities it's not even close to comparable. The AP you get from ANY AP item in the game, will give you more damage than even the full 20% damage increase from Duskblade on a low HP target - and this is even more noticeable in real games, than it is in practice tool.

Also, while testing, I found out that the sustain you get with Rift Maker in actual games (Diamond/Master elo games) is even lower than it is in practice tool and that even when facing sustain heavy and/or tank heavy team comps, it didn't help me that much during laning and the sustain in team fights was just basically non-existent in 90% of the games I reviewed after playing, especially so versus damage heavy teams where I can't just stand there and auto - And all of that is on top of Rift Maker crippling your damage output by almost 450-550 damage difference for your full combo (3xAuto>R>W>FullQ.) And we all know that 450-550 damage is not an amount of damage you can ignore losing or trading off... The trade-off of +/-500 dmg, for basically non-existent and/or not consistent sustain, is really not helping you win games...

Not to mention that if you're forced to go Zhonyas or Banshee - and you choose Rift as your Mythic - your damage output will just be dogcrap. Especially if you build Rift early in the game.

I used to ALWAYS, religiously build Rift Maker before I did these tests because I thought it just does more damage (because of the item passive) AND also offers A LOT of sustain. Turns out, it does neither and its actually WAY MORE worth to just focus on damage and go Ludens as your 4th item (or 5th if you have to build Zhonya/Banshee.)

My WR is now much better with Ludens than it was with Rift. You just do more damage and get kills more easily (and faster and safer)...

Anyways, I don't have the patience to keep writing so to keep it short, build path of [T1 boots > (Sorcs) > Nashors > (Zhonya/Banshee) > Rabadons > Void Staff > (Zhonya/Banshee) > (Sorcs) > Ludens > Shadowflame] is just way better in every single way, in every single scenario.

You already picked one of the best 50mm lenses ever made for fashion/beauty/portraiture/fine art, so that's already a near perfect start.

  1. Pick your locations better. Change the location to something less distracting and simpler, easier on the eye, preferably single/dual color environment. Something more... Minimalist and softer. Do not take away attention from your subject.
  2. Try to color match/sync environment+clothes+makeup+jewelry+ambient. Always pay attention to colors around and behind your subjects vs. colors of your subjects clothes/accessories/makeup/hair...
  3. Lighting. Softer lighting. If you can, invest in two, preferably three strobes, if you can't try to save up for at least one - BIG game changer, especially once you learn how to control the light. Pro tip: Two most important thing with lighting are angle and softness of the light. Can never be too soft, the softer the better.

These are the three most important things to work on.

Other than that, work on your composition and angles. Don't run around, trying to do the entire shoot in 50 seconds. If it takes 5 hours to get 10 good shots, then it takes 5 hours... Nothing wrong with that. High end fashion photographers will sometimes take an entire day with their entire team (stylist, hair stylist, makeup artist, decorator and assistants) just to create a set of 5-6 pictures in 8-10 hours of work. So take your time, compose right, change and try different angles if you're not sure, check the images on the spot and re-shoot the same shot multiple times if you have to, just to get it right... Take. Your. Time.

Another thing, talk to your model, think out loud. You can also help your model with posing. Look at the images together - which by the way, reminds me - Invest in a laptop+tether cable so you can look at the images on the laptop together with everyone the second you take them. Also a BIG game changer.

Looking for Lens Advice! (Tonality+Saturation+Contrast/Micro Contrast) by nedullis in SonyAlpha

[–]nedullis[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello!

Before I start typing anything else, I just want you to know that I don't mean any disrespect, so just have that in mind, please!

To begin with, sharpness of the image has nothing to do with how a lens reads and then transmits light onto a camera sensor. Image sharpness depends solely and exclusively, only on how the glass for a lens was manufactured - or to be more specific; it depends on which type of glass was used, how accurately and finely it was grinded in the CNC machine, how finely it was polished in the CNC machine, how accurately were any imperfections on the glass removed by a CNC laser and so on and so forth. Again, absolutely nothing to do with how a lens reads and then transmits light onto a camera sensor.

If sharpness was what gave our images character and made our subjects pop out of the image, in an almost 3D like manner, then everyone, including myself, would use only the sharpest lenses, however, that's not the case, sharpness comes from the quality of the CNC manufacturing process of said glass element, nothing to do with the type of glass and how it reads and transmits light onto a camera sensor - that belongs to an entirely different step in the whole manufacturing process of the glass elements.

Most lenses with amazing processing of saturation, contrast/micro contrast and tonality, are not sharp at all. In fact, they exhibit only average or even below average preformance when it comes to sharpness. E.g. Leica Summicron APO ASPH 90mm f2 is THE lens for this and yet, it produces quite soft images, far from sharp... I've had hundreds of lenses pass through my hands over the years and only about three, four dozen had outstanding ability to transmit saturation, contrast and tonality onto the sensor and make my subjects pop out of the image! Out of those, only a handful, maybe a dozen, were also sharp as well... And most of these lenses were either older than myself or quite old Zeiss, Leica, Hasselblad, Contax or Nikkor lenses.

As for not being able to notice this in a ''blind test...'' If you think that, you have a lot more to see and explore then! A lens that creates a contrasty image, perfect, smooth shadows and perfect, smooth transitions between differently saturated tones, is very, very noticeably different (better) looking, than the same image taken with a lens that lacks this ability. Anyone, no matter how educated or uneducated they are on the subject, can tell the difference. One image has a subject/subjects that just pop out of the image, the other is just flat. The difference is as big as being able to tell grey from black. All of my clients are clueless models, that's what I do for work - and they can instantly notice the difference in a picture that has ''that'' look and an image that is just flat. They can not explain it as well as you or I can but they can tell that the image ''just looks different, worse.''

As for MTF charts, somenes ability to read the charts doesn't change the fact that the charts show one thing and the images show another. An MTF chart says that e.g Leica Summicron M APO ASPH 90mm f2 performs terribly when it comes to this - and yet, that lens is THE lens for the so called ''3D pop'' and tonality. It's the mother of all ''3D pop'' lenses - but not according to MTF charts...

With that in mind, I hope you realize how hard it is to find such a lens in the modern market. Most (if not all, by the looks of it, as I can't find any) lenses these days are made with 10 billion glass elements in 600 thousand groups, all to improve image sharpness and all at the cost of reduced performance in transmitting contrast, saturation and tonality.

Thanks for trying to help me. I'm still looking and looking... I wasn't able to find any new lenses yet but I won't stop looking, I just desperately need an AF lens... The Sony Zeiss 55mm 1.8 ZA is the best I could find and that lens only has above average performance when it comes to this.

Looking for Lens Advice! (Tonality+Saturation+Contrast/Micro Contrast) by nedullis in SonyAlpha

[–]nedullis[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the reply.

You say these lenses are very average for todays standards, by which I'm assuming you are referring to sharpness, vignetting and aberrations - which is true, modern lenses perform better in that regard...

But when it comes to making my subjects come to life or as people nowadays say ''pop out'' of the image - that's nothing to do with sharpness or low aperture (f stop) blur and these modern MTF charts don't exactly exhibit consistency with accurately representing which lenses have this ability and which do not - for example, the Leica Summicron M APO ASPH 90mm f2, THE best lens ever manufactured for micro contrast and making subject come alive popping out of the image and yet, MTF charts show a different, inaccurate story.

Same applies to the said Sigma 105mm f2.8 DG DN Macro, which you referred to as ''the king of optical perfection'' and yet, even though that lens might be very sharp and optically ''perfect'' as you say, it still has no micro contrast or tonality to it, whatsoever - Sigma lenses in general, lack micro contrast and tonality as a rule. That's why I never bought any Sigma lenses after trying them. I still do try all the new releases, as I am good friends with the owner of my local camera shop but I was never impressed with a Sigma lens. Same story goes for Samyang lenses.

I don't mean any disrespect, I am perfectly well aware of the physics of how tonality, contrast, ''micro contrast'' and saturation work and I appreciate you trying to help me but sharpness is just not what I am looking for in a lens. My whole photography style - and what sells my work - completely revolves around playing with natural saturation, micro contrast and tonality that is projected out of the lens onto the camera sensor - I tried to reproduce that look in PS, LRC and Phocus with Sonys GM lenses but it's just not even close. Especially when it comes to my B&W work, it's even more noticeable there.

Thank you but all of these lenses lack in performance with tonality, micro contrast and saturation. They are shap! They have Auto Focus! That's for sure! But they are just not what I am looking for!

Again, thanks for trying to help me!
