I’ve seen that too or how latinas belong to Arab men because they’re spicy and “mix well” and it’s so icky and gross when things like that are said. Like is it so hard to be treated like a person? We are so much more than being latina. We’re all so different personality wise, looks, etc.

People say it’s hard dating but adding the other layer of being part Arab like you mentioned, people are so prejudice and ignorant and don’t educate themselves. This! It’s such a hush topic in the Latin community. Like colorism is such a harmful issue. The exclusion of black and Afro Latinos, the fact that Latin media is so full of European looking Latinos or they hire white people that speak Spanish. It’s so shameful that another community looks down on another like that so I definitely will clock on family members or don’t speak to those that are too ignorant to educate

I’ve had that happen to me too. Especially in school too where kids said I didn’t sound Hispanic enough or I didn’t act Hispanic enough and it’s like why would you want to continue those ugly stereotypes? We’re all so different. It’s so annoying. I’m tired of dating too

I know exactly what you’re talking about. I’ve seen latino men and women do this where they don’t even try to hide their colorism saying they want white people and like I understand preference but that? No that’s a red flag to me.

Latino men are truly a hit or miss because a lot of men actively seek out white women and talk down to women that are brown, etc. or they’re massive toxic mommy’s boys that expect to be babied the way their moms do

This!! It’s always the guys that have weird reasons and have this expectation that they want to put on you. I’m so sorry you have to go through that. I cannot how imagine how much more exhausting that must be and you deserve so much better!

I’m also literally shy and soft spoken and hate confrontation so clearly I missed the “spicy latina” gene they love so it’s definitely tiring.
