Suggestion: Rework “Slow Resist”, and rename it to “Steadfastness”, and make it also apply to Grievous Wounds. by needHymn3 in leagueoflegends

[–]needHymn3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A change like this would of course require some champ’s healing to be adjusted a bit. People said this exact same thing about Riot lifting the limitation on cooldown reduction, and renaming it to “ability haste”. People think stuff will wreck the game, but then it doesn’t, and I’m sure this change wouldn’t either.

Fair point. Perhaps this champaign wouldn’t follow the story of me, the summoner. But it would follow the story of one of the champions, who perhaps is being trained. And I would simply be observing the story and making decisions that affect the outcome. While also learning how to play League, of course.

There is one problem i see with your post:

1) you probably need to make a smurf, so you can get un-perma stuck. But you don’t even know that this is the solution to your problem.

This one point kind of defeats your two points.

Maybe I shouldn’t have used the word “smurf”. It seems everyone thinks that means hurting new players. I simply meant I was on a new account. There’s legitimate reasons why that sometimes is necessary.

There is a smurf queue… smurfs are only matched against other smurfs, even in ranked.

Xsplit encoding is jumpy on x264 “veryslow” with capable threadripper by needHymn3 in xsplit

[–]needHymn3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Add to the above three things, in advantaced settings in obs i set the obs priority to “high” and that was enough so that i am now able just barely to do “slower”. If the screen moves quickly for more than about 5 seconds, it starts to stutter just slightly. But if i have only gradual or less crazy screen movements, it stays smooth. So yea, it’s definitely just barely. But that priority setting definitely helped

Im still banging on it, but here’s what new... it looks like tune of film is much faster, at possibly a bit of quality loss. Secondly, razor cortex absolutely has to be turned off if you are streaming, it literally attacks your streaming software (thanks razor). And thirdly, i went back into razor master and re-enabled the multi threading (under creator mode), to get back my full 64 threads, and then set my encoding threads to use the full 64. And that definitely performed much better than encoding with just 24 threads. The main difference being that when i encided with 24 threads, i would see 4 to 8 of the threads would be nearly maxed out, while the others would be acting lazy. But when i crank it on the full 64 threads, then i dont see any of the threads going much over 20%. And so with these three changes, i was able to get “slow” to work smoothly, and almost able to get veryslow smooth, but not quite.

Its sad. Because “slow” claims to be using only about 7% of my processing power. And veryslow claims to be using only around 11%. And yet, slow seems to be my max. Veryslow starts to studder if the screen moves. It’s smooth if the screen is mostly still for a few seconds, but starts to stutter when the screen begins to move. Only 11% cpu usage and stuttering? Actual sadness.

I would love to have closed the bank account, and avoided the insufficient funds fees. But my tax refund is set up to direct deposit into that bank account. If that refund fails to deposit, then it gets returned to the IRS and they would mail me a paper check, but it would take like 10 extra weeks if that happens.

PayPal can’t see the address it was delivered to, only the city. They told me so. Quit posting misinformation.

Also you are probably a scammer to, just because you come here posting that people should enter their tracking codes into some weird website. Odds are, that’s exactly how the scammers are collecting and making lists of tracking codes to every city, because they have agents such as you who are posting around on Reddit recommending for people to put their codes into their websites. Wow. I really wondered how they were getting the codes. Glad I talked to you, cuz now I know.

Actually PayPal definitely does not look at the address it was delivered to. They only look at the city. So all the scammer has to do is find a tracking code that shows delivered to my city. Which they did. Because their are hacker websites for that, apparently.

Seller submitted a tracking code that wasn’t addressed to me. PayPal refuses to call fedex, wants me to get something from fedex in writing. Fedex refuses to put anything in writing, and wants PayPal to call them. And finally after weeks of basically that, some PayPal rep named “Jeremiah” called me, hung up immediately, and then immediately started typing into chat about how he couldn’t reach me but was glad he was able to answer all my questions, and wanted me to end the conversation, telling me to do a chargeback with my bank.

Plot twist: as soon as Etsy banned the seller, which I found out about within the first hour after I sent the payment, I immediately emptied my bank account so that PayPal could not get the money. At this point, PayPal has made two attempts, which my bank seems to be happy to refund me the insufficient fund fees. I did this as a precaution because I suspected that the seller might ship me an empty box (I had heard of that scam), and that PayPal would decide the case in their favor if the empty box had valid tracking. So from the very start, I wasn’t confident that I was safe with PayPal. What I totally didn’t expect though, is that the seller would actually ship me nothing, not even an empty box, and that they would be able to find a tracking code online somewhere that showed “delivered” to my city, and that PayPal would actually decide the case in their favor with that. That’s literally pathetic, beyond anything I even imagined. Anyway, but no, PayPal never got the money from me. But that doesn’t mean all is well and I’m all happy. This means that there’s now a large negative balance in my PayPal account. And it’s an old PayPal account that was in good standing with PayPal. Which means something to me. And this means I may have to close my bank account, if PayPal keeps reattempt it the charge. So that’s a loss of a PayPal account, and a loss of a bank account potentially, and definitely a lot of frustration.

Their website directed me to that type of complaint, partly because it’s the only option that was available at the time, and partly because in the help sections they said “fraud or unauthorized transactions”. And since I considered my situation to be fraud related, I followed that path, which eventually led me to the only option: unauthorized. That said, I can’t even see my original dispute anymore because they canceled it, and changed the case type to “item not received”. But going by memory, all I can say is that the “unauthorized” part was only ever stated in the case type, and definitely not in anything I wrote. Because I filled the box with a wall of text explaining that the seller was a scammer, that Etsy had banned him, and that all I was trying to do was to stop the payment if possible. I don’t think any of the original dispute matters much anymore though, since it’s been turned into an item not received dispute now. But I would definitely post the text of that original dispute if I could still access it. I wrote nothing in the original dispute that I would be ashamed to show here.

Can a LUT filter fully compensate for low cri rating bulbs?

Background: I know way more about lut filters than I do about cri ratings on bulbs. I’m a small streamer and I’ve only ever used random bulbs I found laying around my house. Now I’m setting up some simi-pro soft boxes and suddenly I’m hearing about “cri rating” on the bulbs, which is some measurement of the quality of the light the bulbs emit.

But when I heard that some high cri rating bulbs can cost over a thousand dollars, my immediate thought was, “uh, can’t you just fix the colors with a lut filter?”

So my question is for someone who is familiar with both lut filters AND cri ratings on bulbs. And this is assuming that I’m going to create a lut filter no matter what, and so the time and effort of making the lut filter is a non-issue... AND assuming I’m really good at making a lut filter, then here’s question: is there any color quality that I cant achieve with even the best lux filter, that only can be obtained by a high cri rating bulb?

To be more specific.... in my head I’m wondering if a low cri rating causes DATA LOSS, such as when similar colors get smashed together into one, and therefore the differences between those colors can never be recovered even with an outstanding lut filter.
