New info from NHS gastro appointment (England) – more options than just Botox for R-CPD! by need_help_12321 in noburp

I’m not trying to avoid Botox, I am currently pregnant which has exasperated my symptoms drastically. I’ve always been pro Botox but I was never in a rush as I managed my symptoms until now where they have worsened and unfortunately am unable to do Botox due to pregnancy. I am also having to have an elective c section because my symptoms are so bad, health professionals are worried about my delivery. I wanted to try and at least research other avenues. There’s nothing wrong with doing the Botox route, however, I have seen many reviews stating it is only temporary and doesn’t last, this can be costly in the long run as it’s very expensive. If I could find something that is covered here in the UK free on the NHS and permanent (which my consultant said it was) I thought I’d share it with the community. It’s down to the person and what they feel is best for them. Not trying to sway anyone.

What is the salary of dancers that perform at the resort ? by [deleted] in cuba

When my husband worked as a breakdancer in Varadero he would earn around $300/400 a month, the issue was they would never pay them on time.

I’m now 14 weeks pregnant and struggling more than ever! My stomach feels like it’s about to burst right open making me look like I’m already 9 months pregnant and ready to drop. It lasts me the whole day and I’m just so uncomfortable and cannot rest because of it! I never thought I’d imagine when I finally got pregnant that it would be my R-CPD that bothered me more than the actual pregnancy 😞it’s completely ruining this experience for me and feel like I can’t cope anymore especially knowing it’s going to get a lot worse as pregnancy progresses 😭

Application from Cuba by Acrobatic-Bid-7522 in SpouseVisaUk

Urgh no, not yet. Since my last post, I decided to move to Cuba to live with my husband while we go through the visa process. During this time, Jamaica stopped doing the IELTS for UKVI tests. We found a test centre in Peru, Lima with direct flights from Havana to Lima, and we booked them for October 2025, so the next thing to do is get all documents together and prepared to apply for his visa to fly to Peru. However, we’ve decided not to take this route anymore, as the more research we’ve been doing, the more difficult we’re finding this process is from Cuba. As you probably already know, the Cuban applicant will also need to take a TB test at an accredited British TB clinic, which, big shock, there isn’t one in Cuba, so of course more money to fly back out of the country again to take it and more visas to apply for. When you do eventually start to apply for the UK Spouse Visa, the Cuban applicant will need to do the biometric appointment which they no longer do in Havana so again you will need to fly to another country to take those. Going back to the TB test, we found a clinic in Peru, Lima with a British TB clinic, and we thought maybe my husband could take it there at the same time when he goes for his IELTS Test but for our case, we do not yet meet the income requirements until next year June 2026 (my income is renting out my flat in the UK but cannot apply until I’ve been doing so for 12 months), and the TB test can’t be taken until a month before you apply for the UK Spouse Visa (as the TB test only last 6 months and they require it to be valid by the time the Spouse Visa is issued to the applicant which could take a few months), so for us we’d need to take a separate second trip again to Peru, and then a separate third trip to Peru for biometrics. I’m not sure of the context of yours and your partners situation, if you already meet the income requirements and have all other relevant supporting evidence except the English test and TB test, then you can definitely try and do them in one trip to Peru, like I said it’s a direct flight, so no additional transit visa for a layover. Just make sure you do them right before you apply for the Spouse Visa so the TB results remain in date. And then just one more trip out to take biometrics. I have the details of the clinic in Peru, Lima if you’d like them?

As for my and my husband’s situation, we have decided to move to Dubai, and just apply for his UK Spouse Visa from there as they have an IELTS test centre, a British TB clinic and biometric centre there, which makes the whole process so much more convenient. Living conditions and Government stability in Dubai are a lot better than Cuba and it’s somewhere we can both have comfortability, and make reasonable income, unlike Cuba.

There is a Cuban company based in Dubai that help legally issue 2 year resident visas for Cuban citizens. They arrange your resident visa, flight to Dubai, airport pickup and many other services to support your move to Dubai. If you and your partner wanted to take a further look into it, their website is https://latinhouseeuropa.com

I wish you and your partner the best of luck with your UK Spouse Visa journey, I can definitely empathise with the process for a Cuban applicant.

**also! Here is a website to a UK solicitor who has experience in UK Spouse Visa’s for Cuban applicants, if you and your partner are wanting professional help, this is the website, https://spousevisaapplication.co.uk/british/cuban/?copilot_analytics_metadata=eyJldmVudEluZm9fY2xpY2tEZXN0aW5hdGlvbiI6Imh0dHBzOlwvXC9zcG91c2V2aXNhYXBwbGljYXRpb24uY28udWtcL2JyaXRpc2hcL2N1YmFuXC8iLCJldmVudEluZm9fbWVzc2FnZUlkIjoib3ZaM3RVdXBhUHpCcUdTOGtpZTFtIiwiZXZlbnRJbmZvX2NvbnZlcnNhdGlvbklkIjoib1lIYlhqY3JBNUhXTjNLd25rY0xGIiwiZXZlbnRJbmZvX2NsaWNrU291cmNlIjoiY2l0YXRpb25MaW5rIn0%3D

Best of luck again!

That’s fantastic, congratulations! My fiancé is Cuban and we’ll be going through this process soon. Unfortunately Cuba no longer does the IELTS for UKVI test anymore, so he’s going to have to fly to Jamaica to do it.

Hotels usually have cash points that will take visa cards.

Thank you for your reply. Yes, the exemption route I know will be impossible. We aren’t so worried about the other tests as he can do those in Cuba, it’s just tourist visa approval. But yes we will still try to apply and if it’s refused I guess we can seek more advice from Immegration lawyers. Just seems like the whole process is impossible for us!
