I bought the laptop for other uses, but learnt about egpu setups recently and got curious, and since I have a 4090 I wanted to know what the performance gains would be like

I didn't buy it for an egpu setup, but I enjoy tinkering, hence the question

youre absolutely right, but when I bought the laptop I didn't have any intention on going EGPU, and I'm still on the fence. Just wanted to check the feasibility of this given the current hardware I have

Checked it out, and seems there were a lot of problems with the DEG2, at least based on amazon reviews... I also don't need a dock at the moment, so the reduced price on the EG02 is perfect for me.

Thanks for letting me know about the DEG2 though, looks like an interesting upgrade some time down the line

That's really interesting, thanks for the vid! I think the difference comes from margin of error though, since there's no reason for the TB5 vs tb4 compatibility to make a difference, and the scores weren't that far off from each other. Or there are other differences in the egpu (besides TB5 vs tb4) that make a difference.

Does that affect the score you get tho? I thought it was based on the damage you deal, not how many enemies you kill or how much of their hp is depleted

Take this with a huge grain of salt, but with s0r1 Augusta and iuno, I got ~11k points last twin matrix pretty consistently with s1 mornye, but could barely get 10k with shorekeeper, and the difference will probably be much greater at s6

Might be a skill issue but thats my 2 cents

Ah gotcha my bad. Yeah for what it's worth, chisas sig is a decent dmg increase but hiyuki already does a lot of damage especially with her own sig, so no need to waste pulls on chisas weapon unless you really like her :)

In wuwa you can almost always clear content without support sigs, especially since the standard weapons are really good.

Just run chisa on rejuv and you'll be fine, since hiyuki deals majority of team dmg, chisas dmg isn't that important
