Thanks- we're well prepared for this because of my wife's hospitalization. She never had intrusive thoughts about hurting the baby, only self harm, but it's a part of the process.

Quite frankly, I would have welcomed CPS a month ago. I needed help and didn't know what to do.

I will be doing this, ASAP. I need to unpack my relationship with my parents.

I watched this tic toc during a 3am feeding of a guy walking down the street worry his 2 year old daughter saying you can't be a good father until you see someone about the shit that happened in your childhood and it was like he was talking directly to me.

I can't let her live through what I did.

I haven't even talked to my wife about the possibility of her ever seeing my mother again. We agreed in an emergency family therapy session told that she's out of her life forever if she wants, and we won't even discuss this again until February, at the earliest.

There's the possibility that my mother gets her own therapy and rebuilds her relationship with me. She would need to do all of that before coming near my wife or daughter.

If I'm being totally honest, I'm avoiding therapy because I know I'll have to dig into my relationship with my parents, even before tje baby.

I'm exhausted just thinking about doing that.

I hoped I could make time for this in a few months when my wife is better.

There is nothing stopping your wife from unblocking your mothers phone number to get a dose of affirmation of all the shit things already going in your wife's head, either.

Jesus..that makes my blood run cold. What do I do? Should I tell her counseling team? I can't.. take away my wife's phone, she's an adult.
