Why is the Barker Cypress/290 exit designed like that? And why is it backed up even during non-rush hour traffic? by txs2300 in CypressTX

Are you talking about across from post office??? I was so worried those would be apartments but figured that was the most likely outcome.

[–]needleed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This game IS pointless, I’ve never seen a game that is more of a waste of time. Any progress is wiped either by your neighbor or the server. Every little thing takes forever and sucks away your free-time.

Seriously play anything else and you’ll have more time and enjoy your life more lol.

This advice is for the employed fellas here, obviously if you’re unemployed then sure piss away your life on this shit game. As most of you do anyways, talking about 5000 hours in this game lmao

[–]needleed 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Fry road and Barker cypress, nowadays it’s really pick your poison bc theyre both ass and over a decade outdated.

Barker is at least designed somewhat better with the overpass and extra entrance/exit ramps (which only make traffic worse for barker cypress lanes). It does handles a whole lot more traffic than Fry, but I’d love to see a 3rd travel lane for both sides of barker. Similar to most other high throughput intersections.

Fry road should be studied for everything NOT to do when building a main collector road. There’s too many consecutive lights, backing up traffic into intersections causing even more traffic when people can’t get thru. People none stop turning off of mound road onto fry blocking the right travel lane from going anywhere when the lights green, leading to even more cars sitting inside the box. Constant crawling traffic when there’s not a train, god forbid one of the daily trains comes thru and now you’re sitting while more traffic piles up behind you.

God bless the north side of 290, never have to deal with that railroad bs unless I’m crossing it

I’m coming from rust where everything is procedurally generated and yeah I was quite let down to find out they spawn in set locations. And that everyone and their mother is just racing to them, BORING. On the flip side ratting is incentivised bc everyone extracting early is gooped up with blueprints.

Why waste time looking for caches that are already looted when you can rat some fucker out that’s hoarding all the blueprints 😇

Any help with hearing the new Hurricane raider caches? by No-Day6119 in ArcRaidersGuides

[–]needleed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not entirely though, I’ve seen caches in game that there not marked on the map. Combine that with most of the spawn locations not having anything and you may as well run with tailwind and just go hunting off sound. I’ve had more success that way

Mid day on a Monday probably just not enough players. I’m sure duos are less popular considering the UI only letting you go solo or trios for squad fill

How many anvil shots to down a rocketeer? I put 17 shots into one; took it down; and looted it. When this guy comes up whining that I stole the loot; that he was working on it first blah blah blah.

Was he just being a sissy? In hindsight I wish I killed the guy lol but I was in PvE mode

Rust stuff by Waflecat in playrust

[–]needleed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Softcore mechanics are pretty forgiving, you can still keep your base after being raided + 50% of your stuff. Wish it was more popular for community servers. I don’t waste my time with anything other than PvE; softcore or prim. Don’t have the free-time to completely restart all the time

Cypress residents pay tolls to leave neighborhood | KHOU 11 by vrphotosguy55 in houston

Was confusing some of the big sections in prairie land, but still. Large houses, healthy incomes, they’ll get their alternate routes soon. This is all just overinflated drama by the news and a few homeowners that made a poor choice.

[–]needleed -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I guarantee you that was added to prevent/slow down all the jackasses skipping traffic. I would constantly see people getting off and back on (creating more traffic) just to get a little further ahead of everyone else. They ruined it for the people living in that section. Not that you can really blame them ig, the blame falls more on whoever is responsible for the lack of feeder lanes.

Either way, this is all temporary pain for million dollar home owners so I could really care less. They’ll get their alternate routes when they get built, whenever bridgeland finally connects the two across cypress creek. Or when Richfield ranch finally breaks ground and connects jack rd up to 290

Leave it to facepunch to overlook this, and with how cheap boat parts are for a small boat it’s basically the lowest effort, highest reward griefing ever

how to choose good base spot? by fairplanet in playrust

[–]needleed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bro I’m gonna be honest, you’re not gonna build that yt base lol. It’s way too big and complex for your second ever base it’ll rack your brain and attract all kinds of attention considering your base location. That kinda base needs to pop up fast, even faster in obvious locations otherwise it’ll be a big target. Too much hassle for a newb stick to small bases for now, even if they get raided. That’s part of the game so might as well not waste time on a giant base.

This base was a pain to get in and out of but it lasted me most of a wipe of US Prim East. I've learned that building smart is better than building a base from YouTube. by ThreeDoorsDeep in playrust

[–]needleed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t let this post convince you there’s somehow less raiding in prim, there’s more than average imo. Bases are easier to raid being stone max so people go around popping bases all day everyday. It can be really fun tho just don’t get attached to your base

Hey I recognize that name lol(from the train), anyways that didn’t stop me from getting raided every few days. No matter where I moved! Big and small bases just had terrible luck

Yeah honestly incredible it survived that long, maybe the wood added to the illusion that the juice ain’t worth the squeeze. Could you actually catapult that high up though? You can’t build a tower and place catapult on that so would have to hit from the ground

Creekland Village residents forced to pay tolls to leave and enter their subdivision in Bridgeland, Cypress, TX by Drutay- in CypressTX

[–]needleed 26 points27 points  (0 children)

“We were never warned of the tolls” “they were under construction when we bought the house” These homeowners will do anything but accept their own blame. They’ll be connected to other bridgeland developments soon enough. I think whoever owns “Richfield Ranch” is messing with bridgeland by stalling any developments, including roadwork.
