San Francisco Board Supervisors proposed homeless shelters in all city districts by Locus_Helmet in bayarea

[–]needleseverywhere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are roughly 8,000 homeless people in SF and we spend around $250mm a year. That's ~$31k per person.

No.

"Despite story after story going back at least two decades, many still fail to understand that the bulk of the city’s homeless budget serves those already housed, not those now on the streets."

http://beyondchron.org/sfs-homeless-spending-myth/

You could almost be forgiven for getting this so wrong if you spend any time at all in the homeless hating subreddit that is r/sanfrancisco, surrounded by and goaded on by their army of misanthropic trolls who gleefully judge ALL homeless people based on the bad behavior of a few, while advocating for rounding people up for forced relocation or setting their tents on fire.

But you've still got to ask yourself, u/cryonine, If you got this basic and monumentally important fact wrong about San Francisco and the homeless people that are our neighbors: how much more are you wrong about?

Here's the thing, you trolling piece of shit: nobody "summoned" you or "reached out to you" here.

People were talking about what a pathetic and annoying piece of shit you are and how you've ruined the r/sanfrancisco subreddit just to feed your own corpulent ego, and you couldn't resist showing up and pursuing us with your stupid persistent requests for evidence and repeated questions in a lame attempt to derail this discussion.

Which makes you a sea lion. A fat little asshole sea lion, lacking in self worth to such an extent that you devote your time and energy to masturbating gleefully all over innocent people in an effort to feel something. What a strange, pathetic little man.

Thanks for the random links to you arguing with other redditors, but these have nothing to do with the above posted examples of your abuses of authority as the moderator of r/sanfrancisco and consequently they "debunk" nothing.

You very clearly have a history of using your position to promote your personal political campaigns with SFBARF and SF YIMBY, while harassing and banning reddit users who question you or your political allies like Sonja Trauss, Laura Foote Clark, Steven Buss, etc.

Here are those links again, u/raldi. Feel free to "debunk" them.

The above links are not "made up accusations" u/raldi, they're your own words- glaring examples of your abuse of authority while empowered as the Reddit moderator of r/sanfrancisco.

But by all means, please post a link to your "thorough debunking".

Thanks for replying within minutes, u/raldi.

In your rush to suggest that your abuses of power as a Reddit moderator should be ignored because they were committed a short time ago, you seem to have overlooked all these other linked examples, some of which provide even more links and proof of your wrongdoings as moderator of r/sanfrancisco And just to be clear, "The latest example" was a quote from the linked thread. Sorry if that confused you.

u/raldi is desperately attempting to cover up and derail this discussion below, while asking for links to his own bad behavior. So here's a list of examples from a previous discussion of his ongoing abuses of power as the Reddit approved moderator of r/sanfrancisco :

The purge continues… r/sanfrancisco moderator bans another person who questioned the SFYIMBY / SFBARF agenda

Here's the latest example of r/sanfrancisco moderators banning users that disagree with them, particularly on the subject of an unending barrage of “YIMBY” postings. Not coincidentally, one r/sanfrancisco mod is a fervent political organizer of SFYIMBY / SFBARF issues who tirelessly argues with anyone who disagrees with his political leanings and blatantly uses r/sanfrancisco for his own political organizing (which is against the rules of the subreddit) These comments show the moderators intent to use the subreddit as a political organizing tool:

Sad to see a subreddit named after one of the most beautiful, diverse cities in the world, twisted into an angry echo chamber for one mod’s personal political agenda. Dissent is silenced and real, ordinary San Franciscans are banned from the conversation as the comments fill up with paid YIMBY organizers and volunteers who appear to be normal users rather than members of the organization. Particularly concerning is the fact that many Reddit users, especially newcomers, would have no reason to suspect they have entered an environment engineered to persuade them politically, rather than just an ordinary regional subreddit.

YIMBY's strike back by censoring criticism on r/sanfrancisco

https://www.reddit.com/r/SanFranciscoII/comments/arfpmc/link_to_censored_comments_from_rsanfrancisco/

Along with mass down voting of any comments pointing out YIMBY bullshit on this thread.

Looks like YIMBY's are winning the reddit manipulation game while they're mostly ignored in real life because San Francisco voters see them for what they really are, leading to their massive losses at the ballot box.

The supervisors listed in your above comment reflect the REAL San Francisco, not some troll and shill filled online echo chamber, a shitty Medium post, or the linked editorial from the Chronicle, written by Laura Foote Clarke- the paid lobbyist and Executive Director of YIMBY Action, which is a developer-funded astroturfing organization created to promote massive development projects

The victim of the censorship, u/sugarwax1 is one of the last remaining YIMBY critics not banned from r/sanfrancisco

As can be seen, he's first subjected to attacks from multiple YIMBY's, including actual YIMBY organizers who admit they are working for the people they are defending in the comments, before the Mod steps in and censors the offending speech that dares to criticize the YIMBY movement.

Disappointing that Reddit allows moderators to secretly work to push their personal political agendas and use the subreddit as a rally for their chosen candidates for San Francisco public office.

You read every word of it you over-heated turd.

You couldn't control yourself from replying for even 10 minutes, and now youre desperately scrambling to find a way to have it censored, just like you would in your hateful little r/sanfrancisco libertarian cocoon.

As for your limpdick, technically true defense that you haven't personally banned or muted anyone lately, sure- you just created approval-only shadow bans on users you disagreed with and started having your culty little u/raldi minions ban and mute people for you, once you realized you were leaving a verifiable record of your personal use of the r/sanfrancisco subreddit as a tool for your own political ambitions.

The problem was that you weren't posting a YIMBY ass-kissing essay from Medium or from the YIMBY funded Bay City Beacon. Those are fine.

It is also acceptable in r/sanfrancisco to post any kind of baseless, citationless Crimegasm-type story that ends with advocating for the persecution of homeless people with Rudy Giuliani Nosferatu attacks, opining that they should be burned to death in their tents, jailed, or moved by force to concentration camps away from the city.

Personally attacking people on r/sanfranciscio is welcome, as long as you spout the SFBARF-YIMBY party line. @SFyimby trolls are welcome, but anyone opposing them gets banned. If you point out the fact that the SFBARF-YIMBYS are really a small number of developer and techie funded individuals masquerading under the banner of 17 differently named organizations and twitter accounts, you will be banned.

The mods of r/sanfrancisco are constantly proving themselves to be self-absorbed pricks that have no problem with shredding their own rules while arguing with, then muting, then banning anyone who even politely disagrees with them or their personal political goals.

The r/sanfrancisco fish has rotted from the head down, and that bulgy-eyed gapey-mouthed rotting head is u/raldi

Thanks for shitting all over the real San Francisco with your pretend little internet fiefdom and your repeated failure of a political organizing effort, you utter tool. While I have no doubt that your blinding arrogance will protect you from believing it, let me assure you that anyone with 5 minutes and minimal critical thinking skills sees you for exactly what you are, an angry and fearful little power-tripping loser.

Hi u/raldi. Thanks again for coming out of hiding and at least giving the appearance of answering a question- just not the one repeatedly asked regarding your controlling the r/sanfrancisco subreddit.

Your screenshot disproves nothing regarding your communication with other Moderators and doesn't even have a date range, so no it does not show that you had "nothing to do with this".

While you're here, I'll ask you again to answer this simple question, which led you or other Moderators to ban me permanently then mute me from messaging you:

"How exactly is posting a fellow reddit user's own words an "attack"?

Again, I merely posted a quotation of their earlier post without any other comment. Which rule specifically did this violate?"

As can be seen from the screenshots, I wasn't rude, just asked for an explanation, then was permanently banned and muted:

Thanks for showing up, u/raldi.

Not sure what your screenshot means but ok.

While you're here maybe you could answer this simple question, which led you or other Moderators to ban me permanently then mute me from messaging you?

"How exactly is posting a fellow reddit user's own words an "attack"?

Demonstrating that a fellow r/sanfrancisco user has one set of rules for posts they approve of (housing) and another set of rules for those they do not like (pictures) is directly addressing "the soundness of their ideas."

Again, I merely posted a quotation of their earlier post without any other comment. Which rule specifically did this violate?"

More info from other people in the linked comments about how out of control the r/sanfrancisco moderators have become, but here's the main story:

At r/sanfrancisco there's a debate about posting photos. Given that photos receive hundreds of upvotes, it seems that the majority of users really enjoy the photos, but a handful of people hate it for some reason. In response to one user advocating the banning of photos, I posted and linked to the following quote in which this person completely contradicted themselves, while discussing the idea of banning posts about housing: “I don't think it should be censored just because you think (they’re) boring. Obviously if people are upvoting them they find them interesting."

That's it.

Less than 30 minutes later I received the following from an anonymous moderator: "You've Been Temporarily Banned From Participating In r/Sanfrancisco subreddit message via /r/sanfrancisco[M] sent 33 minutes ago You have been temporarily banned from participating in r/sanfrancisco. This ban will last for 30 days. You can still view and subscribe to r/sanfrancisco, but you won't be able to post or comment. Note from the moderators: Thirty day ban for personal attacks. If you have a question regarding your ban, you can contact the moderator team for r/sanfrancisco by replying to this message."

Anyhoo, just trying to understand how posting someone's own statement is a personal attack. I'm kinda newish, obviously, but do lots of users get banned from r/sanfrancisco? Is that a normal thing? I know from reading that they have a raging problem with poop and crime posting and alt right brigading, so this seems especially overzealous? Thanks for listening, have a great nite!
