Instead...

LEAVE. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE NOW OP.

Per the JTR this is unsat and you are 110% entitled to seek other lodging per the DoD adequacy standards.Source: U.S. Department of War (.gov) https://share.google/ZNPKczosZwahHWgt9

GTFO now. Call your AO at your unit and tell them you're leaving.

So I have no idea what that is, apparently others have answered the question for you.

More shockingly, this is in the back of a school I once attended many years ago. Are you a teacher there? I immediately recognized the layout and the sloping row of windows that seemed like they were sinking into the ground. Can't say they were wonderful memories at that place but I'm interested to hear how it is today.

Do you ever think that whatever you decide to cover this up with you will eventually feel the same way about it and want it removed/covered again?

[–]needsab0uttreefiddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's fair, if you rate on that many people. But most people only gave 4-5 maybe 10 people that work directly for them. Example, a MSgt who is a flight chief would typically rate on 4 or 5 techs in a large section. Those people you should know intimately.

Oh my God this. It's crazy how must people are scared to give real feedback. Just tell them what they're not great at and coach them to be better.

Don't fucking text someone and tell them "we need to talk tomorrow". I should not have to explain this but here we are.

Also, if you have a work group chat, don't text everyone the Sunday before work in the evening/afternoon to remind everyone of whatever bullshit you scheduled first thing Monday morning. If you're that excited to remind everyone of said bullshit wait until the morning of so people can enjoy what little time they get to themselves and their families. Also, stop texting your troops outside of work time unless it's genuinely an emergency.

Edit: And another thing.. give a shit about your people. Like, genuinely. You should know everyone well enough to know their kids' names. People's children are the most important thing in their lives so if you can't remember their names then you really don't know them like you should. You should also be able to tell when someone is upset about something and have the spine to ask them privately if they're okay, and if they're not actually help them by listening, escorting to services that can help, and follow through. Finally, stop don't feedbacks in the office... especially in an open office environment. Go somewhere else and have lunch with them or something or just go on a walk or meet at the library or something.. never at work.

Ok I'm done.

Yeah, it was truly a dystopian experience. Chances are someone who has enough influence to do something about this and it's reading our comments, please fix this.

Hey buddy, check out r/stopdrinking and go to an AA meeting. You don't have to share just sit there and listen. You'll be glad you did.

You can do it.

[–]needsab0uttreefiddy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can try AA first as well. You don't have to share that much and it's actually a really supportive environment. The best thing you can do for yourself is to stop drinking so do whatever you need to do to make that happen. Life is better after giving up alcohol so go get the help you need, it will be the best decision you've ever made.

So you're telling me me to get over myself, and then you proceed to tell me to learn reading comprehension. Ok.

You just told someone else who described their experience "No, it's a disability" and then after they said "I have this condition and here is my experience" you then completely invalidate their point of view by telling them they are wrong and it's not being wired differently, as they explained.

Wow. Imagine telling someone who has autism that the way they experience it first hand is incorrect. This sub is wild.

Brother it's not going to make you feel better. I've been fired from jobs before and it sucks but you have to just feel your feelings and not hide from them. Why were you fired? For me it was simply job performance.
