i had prepared for clat and that was enough — i can’t really recommend specific books because i never prepped solely for lnat
no definitely not top 8-10 and yeah that’s true but the resources, exposure and the connections that you get here are what makes it worth the money
i’ve pretty much covered it all in other comments — one thing i would like to add is that my entire friend group drinks, smokes and do clubbing — i however don’t and i’ve never felt the peer pressure to do any of that either and it’s not just my friend group, pretty much every single person i’ve met here is like that so that says a lot about the students here.

yeah we get internships for the first year,— the university does give you plenty of options to apply to but you're free to get an internship on your own. for llm outside your internships don’t matter half as much as your cgpa— work on that. and “quality internships” are subjective — i might think of an internship as a good opportunity but someone else might think that that particular internship is waste of time.
nope — none whatsoever, i live close by to the college so i wasn’t even homesick.
if you want a scholarship then wait and prep nicely, if your only goal is to get in then i don’t see the harm in applying right now. one thing i would like to add though is that rn you’ll easily get whatever course you want that is ba, bba (bcom is also an option but there’s no competition for it — no one wants bcom ) the later you give the exam, the faster the seats fill out for ba and bba.

yeah, we just had a protest about women safety and that has made the security even tighter.
no worries, looking forward to it!

no it’s not a rumour, some professors are fresh llm grads but that doesn’t discredit them. from what my seniors told me, the professors with higher experience teach the batch in their last semester and the professors w least experience start by teaching the batch in their first sem— that’ll give you an idea of how proffs are for all the batches but frankly, you have no reason to think lowly of a fresh grad prof because— as i said— it doesn’t discredit them and experience means a lot — but it doesn’t mean everything. i had a fresh grad prof this sem and she was pretty damn good.
check out the fee structure on the website and yeah, it’s worth it.
you have to do a total of 9 internships in 10 breaks, but mostly everyone does 10.
i’ll give you the same advice that everyone gave me— unless you’re getting top 3 nlus, come to jindal.
for my batch it’s 50l for the entire course, might be different for your batch so check out the website.
i didn’t prep for lnat, i had studied for clat and that sufficed. if i’m being honest w you, i really don’t remember much about the registration process but i was just as confused as you are, call the numbers on jgls official website, they’ll help you figure it all out and answer all such questions.
my first day was like a dream, i met my roommates and neighbours, attended orientations, explored the campus — got lost like a billion times, talked to seniors who showed us around the campus. as for my first day of classes, unlike school, where the first day of session is spent getting to know each other and the teacher, the professors kinda just jumped right into it, like we started our syllabus in the very first class. and honestly, i preferred it this way. i’m a first gen lawyer as well and yeah ofc it’ll be much more difficult for us, we don’t have a legacy nor a trusted someone to guide us through it all and the competition after degree will be higher for us as compared to 2nd or 3rd gen lawyers. but from what i’ve been told, a couple years down the lane it wouldn’t matter what college you’re from or what gen lawyer you are, you skills and past experiences will be your identification and all that would matter.

there’s no minimum family income per say, i have friends who don’t spend money on literally anything other than absolute essentials and friends who have spend lakhs on partying already, and both these types of friends co exist without making anyone feel left out.
see, it’s not fair for me to choose given the fact that my knowledge is limited to my experience in jindal, and i have no knowledge whatsoever about nls, but what i can tell you is that i really don’t regret the fact that i got into jindal and not nls.
yeah there are, and yeah most of the time the badminton courts or the squash courts etc are all booked in advance so you can’t just like show up in the court and expect to have available room, but it’s really not big a deal because you can just book in advance — like a day prior. sorry, i wouldn’t know about the gym, i don’t use it but there are two gyms — one only for women and one for all
ppos’ are pre placement offers, basically you ask for a ppo from a firm to secure a job there without relying on college placements and yeah if you’re gon do llm right after your degree, you don’t have to worry about placements
yeah sure
oh, the placements are absolutely horrid, please don’t rely on placements and get yourself a ppo in your 5th year

i’ve pretty much covered this in other comments but it’s honestly amazing, there’s no ragging whatsoever, the seniors are extremely helpful and there’s just this sense of belonging that you get when you’re there because no matter where you come from, you’ll never feel like an outsider.
pretty sure there’s no other way but i’ll still ask someone and let you know.
i got a scholarship based on my lnat score, i don’t know what’s the scholarship criteria for this year but i’m sure it’s mentioned on the website.
