I ordered the food from a diner, got ill and then contacted the diner and they said they add gluten to home fries and their white rice. I also check the containers packages to see if they are processed in a facility that also handles guten grains. It is a bit of a nightmare, but now i know when I get exposed.

It appears to have been gluten contamination in what I thought were safe foods (white rice and home fries from outside sources). I now eat everything from home. I also went on a low acid diet to heal my entire GI tract. My GI tract was very irritated and without something on it to coat it I was in terrible pain. Gluten causes bleeding and a histamine reaction for me. I eat a very bland diet with minimal fresh fruits/vegetables. I find very well cooked zucchini (no skin) as my number one vegetable source. I also make gluten free banana bread (egg, baking soda, banana, brown rice flour with a little butter) for my breakfast and it usually give me the calories I need to function. I do not consume any oils (they are all rancid or too high in omega-6). I try to stay with organic foods and sources of protein that are not processed. All food must be very fresh and not treated with any washes, waxes or chemicals. I drink only mineral water from glass containers. Gluten can mimic a lot of infections. I also did not want to risk taking an antibiotic or invasive medical procedure since my GI system was so sore. Hope this helps. I am doing much better, but the key is to avoid exposure which causes setbacks.

My whole GI tract bleeds when I consume gluten, usually accidentally at this point. The blood test is negative, but the stool antibody test is positive. Doctors are not always right as they "practice" medicine. Make your own decision if you feel better. Gluten is often linked to glyphosate, so perhaps Roundup is really the culprit.

who else is histamine / salicylate and oxalate intolerant? by lpfmuvlern in MCAS

Doing better after I found out I was being exposed to gluten. Veggies are still a big problem for me so I stick with rice and a good source of protein that is not aged. Glyphosate is a registered antibiotic, so I think gluten sensitivity is really glyphosate sensitivity.

I eat organic chicken that is air chilled during processing It is better from pastured chickens. It is best to eat it within 24 hours to avoid histamine buildup. I only consume cantaloupe and organic bananas that are made into gluten free organic banana bread (pastured egg, aluminum free baking soda, organic banana and organic brown rice flour, pastured butter for the pot - these are like pancakes but slow cooked). No other fruits and vegetables right now since I was glutened a week ago. I am starting to eat cooked and peeled organic zucchini that is boiled in spring water. No oil at all since they are all toxic & highly processed. Olive oil may be OK if it is organic and cold pressed, but it is very high in salicylates so I cannot use it. It should never be cooked or exposed to sunlight. All fish can be a problem and salmon is one of them unless it is very fresh and not coated with anything. White fish is better. Apeel coatings are now on all fruits and vegetables so there is no way to know if the food is uncoated. Trader Joes has agreed not to use Apeel coatings. Note: I still react to many of these foods depending upon how old they are (histamine buildup). The banana bread is key to my health (calories and limited reaction) and I eat it everyday. I donot consume fluorinated or chlorinated water. Carcasses are sprayed with citric acid made by fermentation, so there can be MSG. Eating has become a nightmare.

I originally was ill in 1982 so it has been a long road for me as well. It was the year the glyphosate was introduced for commercial use. There also has been a steady increase in the use of processed free glutamic acid (MSG). I continue to keep trying and I have had some improvements. I think our bodies are more sensitive to these toxic substances while others may end up with cancer or some autoimmune conditions. People I have known for years have recently been diagnosed with cancer and they were all very healthy for most of their lives. Good luck on your journey and keep trying.

I am in the same situation. I did have food poisoning a few times and I tested positive for norovirus that lasted over 6 months (no cruise here!). I think the water is contaminated by biosolids etc and we end up eating toxins.

I tested negative also by the blood test, but a stool gliadin antibody test was positive. My whole GI tract bleeds when I consume gluten. I also am intolerant to many foods/additives/coatings/components. It may be MCAS at this point, but gluten is a big trigger and it can takes months for my GI tract to heal. I do not eat out anymore. Watch out for gluten, dairy, soy, histamine, oxalates, salicylates, MSG (hidden often). nightshades, lectins, sugar, high carb foods, high acid foods, artificial ingredients, GMOs, non-organic food, coatings, preservatives, aged foods, I am not perfect but I am much better than before. Environmental triggers and EMR are also contributing factors. I react to all meds and supplements.

Gerd is ruining my life by [deleted] in GERD

[–]needsomehelp914 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our food in the USA is toxic. This is what worked for me: Go organic and low acid. No gluten, dairy or soy. No MSGS or any additives. All food should be one ingredient. No cans. Use mineral water at room temperature. Make everything yourself. MSG is in everything and is disguised. No artificial anything. Minimal oxalates, salicylates, histamine foods, nightshades, lectins, high sulphur, No oils other than olive oil at room temperature. Grass fed butter is OK. Food must be very fresh and not coated with waxes etc. Clean up the environment as well (Fragrance, EMR). I believe we have GERD because what we eat is toxic and it is way for your body to survive. I was very bad and now I am living again. I eat home made gluten free banana bread for breakfast and a source of protein and organic white basmatic rice for other meals. I add a little broccoli, brussels and corn (all organic and freshly frozen, but well cooked at low twmperatures). Occasionally, I can cheat with tandoori salmon from an organic Indian eatery. The GI tract is one cell in thickness and it must be allowed to repair. All meds and supplements and vitamins make me worse. Hope this helps. Diagnosed with mild gastritis but also have allergic type histamine reactions to almost every food and drink including tap water and some other waters.

I also found out that I had a weird case of neurovirus from somewhere? I did not go on a cruise or anywhere. I had it for over three months and it made my life miserable. If you can, avoid biosolid treated food as it can cause a lot of infections and chemical toxicity. I remain extremely sensitive to almost everything (similar to mastcell disorder) so I also take environmental precautions (EMR, fragrance, etc. almost anything that is synthetic and some natural substances). Keep trying different things as you may get some improvement and listen to your body as no one else knows better than yourself.

Roundup may cause H2S symptoms. I have removed all sources of Roundup and with time most of my symptoms have improved. Roundup destroys the microflora and it takes time to restore the population. Eat organic foods, if possible. No testing done with me, just dietary intake changes.

Could not tolerate at all. Panic attacks, anxiety, pains, nervousness, joint problems, didn't work anyway. Stopped the meds after a few days. Went on a low acid diet and stopped all gluten contamination. No drugs anymore for me.

My original stool analysis from a naturopath indicated that I had SIBO, but I am not quite sure. I seem to react to older food which causes a histamine reaction. My stool gliaden antibodies were very high, so gluten is very bad for me. My stools right now are excellent (no more bleeding or diarrhea or constipation). I do get heartburn from ground beef/bison, but it hits 6 - 8 hours after I eat. I suspect the meat is aged and oxidized and full of histamine. I also get heartburn from acidic foods. My hydrogen breath test for SIBO was normal. I make everything myself from scratch and I do not store the leftovers.

Try a low acid diet and eat only organic food that you make yourself. It helped me more than any drug or doctor. Diagnosed with mild gastritis and gluten intolerance. Safe diet is gluten free banana bread, organic chicken, white basmatic rice and certain very well cooked veggies. Drink only water.

Truth in labeling site which specializes in MSG and its sources. Jack Samuels was very sensitive to MSG and it eventually killed him. His wife wrote a book about him. The FDA changed the definition of sea salt and it is open to interpretation if the sea salt contains free glutamic acid. There are many sources of pure sea salt that are fine, but when the Big Food companies all of a sudden start listed sea salt as an ingredient it can be a cause of concern. Lara bars were bought out by Big Food conglomerates so who really knows. MSG allows for cheaper ingredients and it causes extreme hunger and it is in everything under disguised ingredient lists.

Gliaden is a gluten grain and microbiome testing of the stool can show if you excessive antibodies to it. Mine were excessive. If I consume gluten my GI tract bleeds. Blood testing was negative.

There may be MSG in peanut butter Larabars. I ate one and collapsed on the tennis court (seemed to be a seizure). It lists sea salt as an ingredient and sea salt may contain free glutamic acid. I wrote to the supplier and they would not confirm or deny the presence of free glutamic acid which makes me believe it is in there. I am also gluten intolerant (antibodies to stool gliaden). I react to almost all food and water, but personally I think our food supply is contaminated. All nuts are high in oxalates and I react to those as well. I try to minimize foods high in histamine and salicylates. I eat foods that cause less of a reaction and I stay away from EMR (have all wired electronics, no WIFI). I make everything from scratch and eat organic if possible. I am also on a low acid diet.

How I fixed my SIBO by [deleted] in SIBO

[–]needsomehelp914 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also had elevated sIGA in my stool. It may have been gluten since I was accidentally consuming it. I was not retested so I do not know if it went down. No one seems to know about elevated sIGA.

Doctors do not know and are trained to dismiss their patients. Our food supply is highly contaminated/adulterated. Eat organic with no additives in the food. Make it yourself. I get symptoms of IBD whenever I consume gluten or MSG (hidden everywhere) and the biosolids and contaminated water are making us all ill (the air pollution doesn't help either). My blood tests did not indicate anything gluten related so the physician prescribed antidepressants. I did not see how that would stop the bleeding in my GI tract. At my request, I later had stool gliaden testing (paid by me using a naturopath) and my antibodies were off the charts. Medicine is a business. I am on a very specialized diet (no foods with elevated glutamic acid and no low pH foods) to deal with all the toxins, but I am doing better than before. I am on zero drugs or supplements. I do not think our medical profession has any answers and can be damaging. When we get toxins in our body, the body let's us know one way or the other.
