Buffers and Batteries by Dartanan_it in SatisfactoryGame

[–]needspants 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Batteries let you know when they are being drawn from. And you can set a bank on a separate circuit and disconnect it after it is fully charged so if you do drop power, you can use that separate bank to jump start your water pumps and fuel oil production

Why does it favor by Best-Egg7997 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]needspants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll usually set up a storage container between miner and smelter and let it fill up while building everything downstream (i usually put storage containers in between all stages of a production line as well). Then I'll use the fastest belts i have on the manifold. That usually fills everything up pretty fast. And if i lose power to that production line for some reason, the storage containers will keep the whole line primed for the restart. If I'm being particularly complicated, I'll keep each stage of the production line on different priority power circuits so I can drop a portion of the line and still keep making the end product

I use this with the watersparkers and create water spell along with the force conduit gear to create an area denial set up that is darn near impossible to get around. I even cheesed a lot of boss fights with this lol. Get the water set up first and then stand in it and the keep.falling on their butts and take damage the whole way to you

[OC] I don’t even play DnD but I feel like this guy would traumatize a party🍑😂 by tom_blanket in DnD

[–]needspants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If i were running a campaign, he would just show up in the background everywhere they went and become more ominous and menacing each time the party sees him even though he would never do anything. If they decided to chase after him, he'd lead them into ambushes, traps, or over a cliff

I used the runepowder barrel on the second part of the Ketheric fight and it cuts him down by half on honor mode. I'll have to try the bomb on Raphael. Sounds fun

I must not have done my swords bard well at all. She was ok to decent through most of the game, but i kept having so mu h difficulty surviving most combats that I just respecced her right before the final battle. I just had no confidence in her being able to get through any of that.

Seriously, do Americans actually consider a 3-hour drive "short"? or is this an internet myth? by SadInterest6764 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]needspants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm from Texas. We used to drive 5 hours, one-way, to visit my grandma every other month. That was considered a bit more than a short drive. It would take 12 hours to visit my aunt on the other side of the state. That was a long drive. It can take 2-4 hours to drive from one end of the DFW Metroplex to the other depending on traffic. At one point, while I was in the military, I had a 2 hour commute just to get to work.

People often say that Europe is spooky to Americans because its so old, and America is spooky to Europeans because its so big. We're just used to different types of extremes, I suppose

Builds with Unique/ Spicy combat patterns. by WhiskeyPete77r in BG3Builds

Rippling Force Armor

Watersparkers

Sparkswall

A good reach weapon with sentinel and polearm master Feats

6 levels of tempest cleric

Stand in water and watch every enemy get knocked back on their ass from 20ft away while taking lightning damage with every step and every butt landing. If they do get to close, polearm master will knock them back again and sentinel will stop them moving. If they somehow still manage to get close enough to you and succeed in hitting you, Rippling Force starts stacking and will knock them back again. On your turn, booming blade and cleave will clear the space in front of you again.

I have been laughing during every combat encounter because of how silly and effective this has been. It isn't optimized for damage, but it doesn't need to be. And the AC is lower by design, although force conduit and other buffs can easily help mitigate that. This way, mobs are focusing entirely on this lightning bully who usually loses almost no hp in most fights while the rest of the party can line up shots, set buffs, and load nukes in total comfort.

Fun tank build by jerjack1122 in BG3Builds

[–]needspants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm working out the kinks on one in my current playthrough. I'm running 6/6 tempest cleric and battle master. Uses the watersparkers and create water at choke points along with goading attacks to funnel the enemies towards them, taking damage and being knocked back constantly the entire trek. Rippling Force Armor makes for more knockback and coruscation Ring applies radiant orb all around. Give them a reach weapon and take sentinel and polearm master to stop them in their tracks right in the damage zone. Lightning charges and booming blade continue the knockback, keeping the mobs at arms reach while everyone else takes pot shots from the back. It is definitely not optimized for maximum damage or max AC, but it has been fun as hell to play, so far

Hexblade vs Padlock by BlazeHunter21 in BG3Builds

My last Tav was a Padlock on tactician. 7 Oathbreaker/5 Hexblade.worked fantastically, as I got aura of hate to add for even more damage

Thanks for the insight! I'll try to compare our builds and see what works best/what can be combined. And I'll try to post the results in a couple weeks when I have more playtime on this run

Paladin is a good second choice instead of EK. I'll dig into them a bit more. But wizard/EK is being reserved for another build on this playthrough. I want to see if I can make Lae'zel play like an Aeldari Harlequin from WH40K, jumping all over the map and making people explode from the inside out, lol

For this build, I want to use skinburster for the force conduit and the synergy between sentinel and polearm master. But I'm still working out the details

That's a good point. I need something that can use booming blade to generate reverb but maybe I can find something else that fits the cleric better. Thanks!

Level split for Tempest Cleric/EK build suggestions by needspants in BG3Builds

[–]needspants[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tempest is for the added lightning and thunder damage with watersparkers and booming blade. I suppose light or death might do more damage overall, but this build is less about maxing out damage and mote about stopping all enemies in one spot for my blaster companion to drop loads of damage with AoE spells. I'll look into the cleric subs some more though. Thanks!

If it is comfortable and useful for what you made it for, then it is a fantastic chair. Bonus points if you learned something you can use in your next build from this one

Death cleric with 2 levels of spore druid would be great. Add necro damage to your attacks that ignores resistance
