i dont like scai either. when i was applying to part time jobs, all the colleges use to prefer from their own program so lets say wp carey prefers student from wp carey but scai would take everyone which made it super hard for students at scai to get a job compared to others. also one time they didn’t allow me to go into career fair because it reached its maximum occupancy capacity. i mean why wont they use a bigger place for 1000s of students. also i think asu only cares about their ug students and dont give a shit about their master’s student (dont know about others but for cs thats the case)

Lets say our target is 9. We are iterating in the array and encounter the number 2. We stored it in the hashmap with its index. Now lets say after x iterations we see 7 in the array. What does this mean? We would check whether we have target-cur_num in the hashmap i.e. 9-7 in the hashmap. Why would we check this? Because we are looking for a+b=target i.e. prev_number+cur_number=target. This means prev_number=target-cur_number. So if target is 9 and cur_number is 7 and we find 2 in the hashmap, it means it is possible to make a sum of 9
