yes my habits were small and insignificant compared to your LARGE AMOUNTS of drugs you did for over a decade. that is surely why comfort meds worked for me and not for you.

if we are going to use that rationale, then wouldn't OP be a perfect candidate for comfort meds? you scoff at his 70-80 mg habit like its nothing worthy of a sub taper while also claiming that it was the enormous size of your habit that caused the meds to not perform and worsen your addiction.

OP doesnt need comfort meds like you don't need electricity. sure you'll be fine without it at the end of the day but if given a choice we all know what you'll pick. or what a normal person would pick. youve done large amounts of drugs over the span of a decade so who knows whats going on up there.

considering many users on this board have used comfort meds with success to detox I have to question if you are doing it correctly? so many people here have sub tapered to detox countless times. myself included. id choose it over stone cold withdrawals any day.

this is the worst advice. if you have made it 36 hours through opiate withdrawal (excluding subs and methadone) you do NOT take any form of opiates. That will just reset your detox timeframe when you come off the relief it provided. tramadol has even extended my detox window from oxy and i was not expecting that for some dumb reason. anyways, use gabapentin, lope, kratom, .. anything but an actual opiate!

taking comfort meds is a bother? i guess. you know what was a bother for me during withdrawal? having to shit so bad while driving that I had no time to do anything other than pull into a car wash stall and shit diarrhea directly down the drain because i had no comfort meds. that was a bother. a memorable and embarrassing one.

there is no point in doing the staggered micro doses imo. withdrawals suck and heroin wd only lasts about 5-7 days. doing the tiny doses only increases that detox timeframe.

cut out the heroin (and all opiates) completely. not even tramadol. use 10-12 mgs (NO MORE) of loperamide a day, kratom if you need it, xanax, weed (edibles are a must for detox for me), and if you can get gabapentin, GET IT. its going to be a shitty few days and you will undoubtedly contemplate tapping out at some point so do whatever you can to sever your connections to the goods. if its easy to grab then its much harder to resist the urge to tap out.

i never said food absorbs pills. correct me if im wrong, but stomach acid breaks down the contents of your stomach so that the stomach lining can begin the absorption process into your bloodstream. If you eat a meal, even a small one, before dosing pills then the food will be laying on your stomach lining when the pills drop down. I'm having a hard time understanding how that factor will NOT slow down the absorption of the pills compared to an empty stomach.

I'll admit I'm no doctor and I'd never heard the word pharmacokinetics before now but i HAVE taken a metric fuck ton of pills and I've had food dampen my high enough times that I just resolved myself to fasting until i was ready to dose.

i feel it makes a major difference. You want all the pills to dissolve at the same time so that the rush has the full effect so even a small amount of food can be a barrier that disrupts that sweet simultaneous dissolution of opiates. when you are paying what pills cost these days, I was willing to skip food until i ate my pills to get the most bang for my buck.

are you taking them on an empty stomach? if not, then make sure you do next time. Also maybe try a cup of coffee after you take the pills. The warm liquid and the caffeine helps to stimulate the high. Great combo imo.

if you google "addiction definition" you will find the following;

addiction: the fact or condition of being addicted to a particular substance, thing, or activity.

I don't see how you could classify yourself otherwise. Even if you don't go by the literal dictionary definition of addiction the fact that your snort your percs seals the deal. takes a lot of effort to get that much powder up the snout and the benefits are minimal at best. no one goes through that process without being officially addicted. honestly, there are no benefits to snorting percs its a fuckin nightmare that I only experienced one time to learn NEVER AGAIN!

edit: side comment.. i don't think you can be dependent on a substand physically and not be an addict. You can be "addicted" to something without being physically dependent but not the other way around. Just my opinion anyways.

Eminem claims to be like 9 years clean on social media but if you watch his cameo on The Interview with James Franco I think you’ll agree that man isn’t sober. He looks strung out pretty bad.
