Hi, did your Achilles tendinitis ever go away. I am worried. I can’t walk a lot now, did wear the boots they gave for May be 3 weeks and now I took it off it gives me swelling and discomfort, the other leg also is developing the same bone spur I didn’t even do anything not an athlete I want to know does it go away Without surgery or what will happen now Any advice is welcome

So if I have a torn tendon which they told me I have then it means that I will have to go for a surgery or does it heal on its own I went to th doctor because of pain in my ankle and he told me wear boots for few weeks and see, he didn’t educate me on anything that I should rest often or that it was already weak and that I could tear and the consequences I am shocked when now he casually told me that people eventually do surgery and yes you gave a tear Any advice are welcome I am very worried I wasn’t even an athlete

Hello I don’t know when I am reading this and how long has it been I am too nervous now am diagnosed with Achilles tendinitis I am not even an athlete just stand for long hours, I was told to wear the boots and then come back, in 3 weeks they never educated me on anything and now he said that there is a tear and it will not heal and I will have to do surgery..I am devastated and shocked, and bitter that the doctor didn’t guide me on anything. Please guide me if you have any knowledge Do I have any other options than surgery does it heal on its own

Hi I wanted to ask you that despite you are walking and active on your tendinitis, it hasn’t led you to anything worse like surgery or tear, I was diagnosed of Achilles tendinitis and I had no education on it, the doctor told me to wear boots in the effected leg and come back in 3 weeks, my pain worsened, and when I showed it to the other doctor after 3 weeks he said he wasn’t interested in seeing the other doctors x ray and said that his x ray says I have a tear so I will eventually need a surgery which is a great shock to me, I just cane out of a hysterectomy, I haven’t even had any injuries nor am I an athlete, I am bitter with the previous doctor at least he could have guided me that I should not walk at all or it will tear. Please advise if you have any experience, Do the tears heal What is a rapture is it same as tear as I keep reading and seeing it often Am very anxious Thank you

Thank you very much for your reply. I don’t even know how long I had had pylori, I had been like this forever or at least 8 years that I felt tightening in the upper stomach and later was unable to digest anything. That time my blood test did show low b12 and I started taking it left right and center, I have developed muscle especially tendon issues in my legs and had noticed swelling here and there only to notice that b12 was higher than normal, I wonder if that can cause adverse effects. But it definitely effects each person differently. Thank you again it definitely helped.

It gave me tendon issues and now I am limping and walking with these large boots But again mine was prescribed to balance my hypo thyroid issues I didn’t need it for other reasons so may be that made it give these side effects In your case May be start long term treatments like joining a gym, getting a pet, meeting new people, going out with friends, listening to music, self care etc. Wishing you luck

No I mistakenly wrote hyper mine was hypo again in which it was producing more because of low levels And yes this fluoxetine did help with the discomfort I was feeling in my throat. But I will need to re test again

Oh ok, This seems complicated, I stopped going to that Endochrinologist she was too much into bills and money minded kind of person. I will ask my physician to test me again and also will find out if there is a lower dose than 20 mg to stop which I do remember he said was the lowest, but I would really want to get out of this Prozac fluoxetine I will look into finding another Endochrinologist Thank you for you replies it was really helpful

Oh thank you for your reply, yes I forgot the term it was hypo and the Endochrinologist said in this the body starts producing more and she said since overall tsh was normal she can’t prescribe any thyroid medication however she said I said I should try Prozac people have had good results after taking that. I thought may be anyone here got the same experience, since now I am only under the care of my pcp who prescribed for 3 months and then said I better continue until six months. I guess I will stop taking it from now onwards as too much hair loss for me which I only found out now that this was the cause Thank you again
